Scholz, Laschet, or Baerbock - who should be the next Chancellor (Kanzler) of Germany?

Here now the choice is only between those 3 that have a real chance.

I start with Scholz:

This year I will vote by Mail again.
I have just collected my ballot paper today.
There is a choice of 24 parties.

My choice would be Olaf Scholz.

He has done a very good job as Hamburg mayor and received strong election results there.

He also has the experience that is needed to succeed Merkel and has a calm personality.

He's a bit "dry" or "stiff", which means having not that much of charisma, but being stiff and dry is probably what the centrist continuity loving Germans want most right now.

Baerbock, aside from her mini-scandals recently, would also be a good choice - but she lacks the experience in a previous government.

And Laschet doesn't convince me at all. Neither he himself, nor his politics.

Both my votes will go to a small and little known party - the ÖDP.
Btw: The Ö does not stand for Österreich, as some sometimes think.

Frankly, I have no idea who they are. Probably because I'm an American, and we're like that sometimes.
