IT is a false question as we say in Logic. Obviously as lyrics for the Song of Joy only Schiller could be used.
But in general thought most philosohers (I am thinking of Josef Pieper) would choose Goethe.
Since they are admittedly not the same, neither is what they did the same.
So why did I pick Goethe? Because Truth is a harder thing than Beauty and always has a beauty to it but the converse is most definitely not so
