Good luck with that.
The Bible talks about being saved by works of love, not works of the law. Real faith shows acts of love. St. James said that man is justified by works, and not by faith alone.Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
You are saved by faith alone. The Bible talks about being saved by works of love, not works of the law. Real faith shows acts of love. St. James said that man is justified by works, and not by faith alone.
the word "alone" was added by Martin Luther-----sorryYou are saved by faith alone.
Works of love justify our faithJames is not saying that works are required for salvation
Oh----you talk to them??Many do good works ov love but they will not enter the kingdom of heaven
works of LOVE, not the law
Again. Works are not required for salvation. Many do good works of love and are destined for the pit as they lack genuine faith. Genuine faith leads to works that are pleasing to God. They are a package deal.the word "alone" was added by Martin Luther-----sorry

I think we agreeGenuine faith leads to works that are pleasing to God. They are a package deal.
agreeOne can not have genuine faith then not produce fruit. It’s impossible for those who are saved.
I'll have to examine that concept........................can one do acts of love without faith?Yet those who lack genuine faith can produce works of love but they will not be saved as they lack Gods gift of grace for which you are saved by faith alone.
Yes. Plenty of people have faith who are capable of love. But they don't have faith in God.I think we agree
agree

No, that would not be genuine faith.is it possible to have faith in God without acts of love??
then we agreeNo, that would not be genuine faith.
There is plenty in the Bible to justify salvation by faith or salvation by works. But somehow the notion of God as an egomaniac who doesn’t care what we do as much as whether or not we believe is quite unappealing. I remember Jimmy Swaggert or someone like him saying that all the good she did didn’t bring Mother Theresa one step closer to heaven. To which a friend replied that if there is a line for getting into heaven, she’ll be far ahead of Jimmy.the word "alone" was added by Martin Luther-----sorry
