Bernie Sanders wants a new NATO -- and he wants Russia to be part of it.
[In a lengthy speech to a jam-packed house at Georgetown University this afternoon, the senator and presidential candidate called for the creation of a new multi-nation organization to fight global extremism.
No wonder Russia helping Sanders. :lamo
For once I kind of agree with you.
I like Bernie as a person. And, I like the fact that he is honest about who he is. He doesn't hide anything. And, I feel he got ripped off in 2016 (although Hillary probably would have won anyway if everything had actually been fair to Bernie). And, he will be attacked by the establishment again this election, maybe even losing the nomination. But, Bernie is a card carrying socialist and people better wake up to what that actually means. He doesn't hide it but many on the left love some of his ideas so much that they conveniently ignore the whole Bernie, who is right there to see if you just open your eyes.
I like some of what he says, but a lot of it I don't. I don't like that he's an unabashed socialist.
article: "We must create a new organization like NATO to confront the security threats of the 21st century -- an organization that emphasizes cooperation and collaboration to defeat the rise of violent extremism and, importantly, to address the root causes underlying these brutal acts,” he said in the speech. Does anyone know WTF he is talking about? ETA: Yeah, old news. I still want to know what he's talking about and what his views are today.
Soviets tried to join Nato in 1954 | World news | The GuardianWe still need NATO. We downsized back in the 2000's IIRC, but we still have 60K troops in Europe. We used to have like 300K.
Both Trump and now Bernie are a threat to NATO, both are backed by Putin.
