Washington (CNN) — Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders on Saturday said he supports Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz's Democratic opponent in her August 30 primary, adding that if he is elected president, he would effectively terminate her chairmanship of the DNC.
Sanders, whose campaign has engaged in an increasingly bitter feud with the DNC chairwoman during his presidential bid, said in an interview set to air on CNN's "State of the Union" that he favors Tim Canova in Florida's 23rd congressional district. Canova is supporting Sanders.

I'm glad to see him standing up for himself. She has done everything she can to make sure he doesn't get the nomination. Bernie is principled if nothing else.

He's like every other politician. When he drops out of the race he will back the same lady that accused of being sexist, a corporate tool, a lackey for Wall Street, and many other derogatory things he said about Hillary.
Principled? Don't be surprised if Hillary offers to pay Bernie's campaign debt.
That generally seems to happen after primary.Although Sanders is not really a democrat. So he may not throw his support behind Clinton.Plus the impression seems to be the DNC tried screw him over, that kind of stuff doesn't breed party loyalty. He's like every other politician. I have come to hate this woman over the last 10 months or so. Losing her seat would be karma in action.
This made me think of the Brand New Congress organization. It appears they're endorsing Canova also.
Canova is already raising money, and I would guess he will continue to do so. Bernie supporters are also a great source of fund raising for him. They are a smart group and they are loyal to the non-establishment cause.
How anyone can support DWS after what she's done the last year is beyond me.
I really hope the momentum continues no matter what happens in July and November. More than anything America really needs to clean it's own house. We really need some sort of anti-corruption/get-the-money-out-of-politics crusade if we want to break the downward spiral. We need to get all these damn corporatists out, and DWS certainly ranks among the upper tiers of corporatism. The lack of integrity is just a symptom of the ideology. Integrity just gets in the way when your courting all that money.
Unfortunately, if HRC wins the election, I suspect Bernie won't need to worry about DWS in Congress, because HRC owes her a debt of gratitude. She will be a very high ranking official in HRC's cabinet.
doG help us.
America is a little bit socialist. Does that make you want to take a shower?
Your numbers were debunked late last summer. I'm sure it sounds good at coffee break though.
