For 25-years, the Catholic Worker House has been serving up help to San Antonio’s less fortunate. Homeless men, women and children come in to share some food, share a movie, or a moment.

...

But the city doesn’t share that sentiment. As of Thursday, officials revoked the Certificate of Occupancy, claiming the Catholic Worker House has gone beyond its original mission as a recreational center, and is now operating as a food bank and a shelter to the homeless.

Gotta love it. Ain't bureaucracy great!

Whatever happened to common sense?

This is just more reason that the government should have no place in granting certs for things like this. Only regulation for safety and for a minimum standard. Also i read the article it looks too much like a turf battle some bureaucrat doesn't like the competition irregardless of the lack of vacancy.

That's no small amount of subtext.
