Putin must have been really pissed of. Roman Starovoit found dead just hurs after Putin fired him. Apparently a Ukrainian drone raid left 300 flights (which lead to over 10000 delayed flights) grounded, which led to Putin firing his transport minister. The message is clear. No tolerance for failure. You won't be sent to a dacha in the countryside anymore.

Putin probably had his Transport Minister killed because Starovoit was previously the Governor of Kursk oblast and Putin held him responsible for not strengthening the defenses there which allowed Ukraine to invade and occupy this Russian oblast. It required tens of thousands of (North Korean) dead to recapture Kursk.
