Over the past two years, President Donald Trump and his team have offered changing accounts regarding key matters in the Russia investigation. Their denials have been debunked, Trump has contradicted his senior aides and sometimes his team has completely flipped its position.
For the same reason it always takes time to bring down mafia bosses. :shrug:With all the proof you guys have I just don't understand why Trump isn't in jail right now.
You mean the one where every American (and numerous foreign, as well) intelligence agency agrees the Russia government interfered in our election to the direct benefit of the one candidate whose campaign had numerous and repeated contacts with them, which has already resulted in numerous guilty pleas/verdicts?You're still peddling the Russia narrative? :lamo

To be clear, I'm not explicitly saying Trump is a mob boss, I'm just using the example.
No, you have to be able to present evidence to get a jury to convict beyond a reasonable doubt. This includes documents, witnesses, etc. Those things take time to get, especially when several of the witnesses have lied to investigators. The reason it takes time to take down a Gotti is because you have to get proof.
I have committed no crimes. What the hell are you talking about?I've told you why not and it's the ONLY reasonable answer. You guys are using Trump to cover up your own crimes. You're scared to death he's going to rat you out.
For much the same reason he was elected—a lot of stupid people have his backWith all the proof you guys have I just don't understand why Trump isn't in jail right now.
The only thing I can think of is that you guys are using Trump as a distraction to cover your own coordination with anti-American interests. If you really wanted to put Trump away it would be done by now but, for some reason or other, you'd rather have him in the White House than in the Big House.
You're still peddling the Russia narrative? :lamo
DOJ policy is that a sitting president cannot be indicted. At this point Trump has been proved to be more guilty than El Chapo but, for whatever reason, you guys have no desire to act on all that evidence...all the PROOF! Why not?
Scared Trump is gonna "rat us out" for our crimes? That's some serious conspiracy theory nonsense. You've gone off the deep end for sure Lutherf, how sad.I've told you why not and it's the ONLY reasonable answer. You guys are using Trump to cover up your own crimes. You're scared to death he's going to rat you out.
Nice summary below showing us exactly why Trump is as guilty as a ten year old who broke the basement window but refuses to admit it. Nothing says "I am lying" more than a changing story.
How Team Trump keeps changing its story in the Russia investigation
I always thought that Nixon was over the top when he nuked the Vietnam era Paris peace talks and then denied it. But, that was over 50 years ago. So, this Russian **** is far more serious because it is still current.
I haven’t seen a conservative response to Russian collusion that didn’t reveal subhuman intellect of the deflecting conservative.
With all the proof you guys have I just don't understand why Trump isn't in jail right now.
It's not proof, it's mens rea: Trump has a guilty mind. If there is proof of actus reus, a guilty act, then the combination will send him to jail. Mens rea alone is not sufficient legal proof of a crime. It is, however, sufficient proof in the court of public opinion. That's why your mom can ground you without actually proving that you broke the window. She only needs to see mens rea. The justice system requires both mens rea and proof of actus reus.
The absence of proof that Trump committed a crime is not evidence of his innocence.
Prosecutors use that the defendants changed their stories against them in trials all the time. Law 101
With all the proof you guys have I just don't understand why Trump isn't in jail right now.
You can find numerous pieces of evidence on this forum and other places and numerous people have explained how the legal process works (to you here and in other places). You guys kill me.
Under no circumstances will you say "Y'know, we don't really have proof. All we have are suspicions. Even our evidence is too thin to do anything with, legally."

If you people were the least bit honest about this Trump investigation I'd have to give you some credit but you aren't and I won't.
Pretty much sums up their arguments on about 95% of the other subjects out there as well. But, yeah. The Right Winger's denial of Trump conspiring with the Russians goes way beyond. But, then again, Trumpers have always reminded me of someone who would buy a house from the guy who just ripped them off on the car they just bought.
So he cant indict Trump, but why hasnt he indicted anyone else for colluding with Russia? You cant have a conspiracy without conspirators. Who are they? Why havent they been indicted yet?DOJ policy is that a sitting president cannot be indicted.
You really didn't know this? Glad I could help!
Its every bit as reasonable as the **** and bull collusion story youve fallen for.Scared Trump is gonna "rat us out" for our crimes? That's some serious conspiracy theory nonsense. You've gone off the deep end for sure Lutherf, how sad.
