You beat me to it. This whole tit for tat thing is so juvenile.
Hmmmm....... Imagine that.
Childish men with nukes.
krauthammer is just a war-mongering kook who wants US taxpayers to continue subsidizing the reckless Israeli govt.
As for Putin's means of retaliation, he could--if he wanted--change his mind about delivering S-300 or S-400 missile defense systems to Iran, OR decide to kick Exxon out of Russia, make life miserable for it there AND the other OPEC countries that are friendly to Russia OR nationalize all its assets in Russia.
The US Congress, of course, routinely gets down on its knees and sucks Rex Tillerson's ****, so anything Exxon wants, Exxon gets. . .

This is like Putin saying; that if you sanction my countries billionaires, I spit on your Congress. It's literally almost childish, by both parties concerned.
The personal crap isn't professional, nor necessary. And it could lead to unintended consequences if they keep it up. It seems our immature Congress can't comment on other world leaders anymore, without it descending into "nah, nah you're a meanie tyrant and dictator who oppresses everyone". Like they're a bunch of saints.
Well, I won't dignify the **** sucking with a response, however it would seem that Krauthammer made a couple salient points. First, sanctioning seven Russians is probably the oddest thing I've ever seen a President do. I thought it was hilarious when he said that Obama might ramp up the pressure by sanctioning eleven. The second was that If Obama didn't have a coherent response to Russian aggression, the best thing he could do is keep quiet.
We subsidize all kinds of government's around the world. Many that we shouldn't. I personally believe that the cost/benefit that we get with Israel is worth it.
Are you upset that Russia is mocking the US and the EU? Instead of looking to put the blame on those that you can't handle taking any message from. Perhaps you should hold those accountable that got out-witted, manipulated, and out played and out-classed. Bout time you start holding those accountable for their failures which can Imperil a Nation.
Since Putin invaded another Nation, both sides are compelled to escalate the tension.Neither side seriously wants a rupture but both sides are
compelled to escalate the tension to serve their respective political interests.
Putin doesn't have a problem with EU countries, does he?Are you upset with what the Chancellor of Austria is saying.
Sorry to see you think this is over.
Sorry to see you take glee in what you think is another event to do your Obama-rant.
We'll see who laughs last, just like the election.
What a stupid analogy equating Russia next door to another Nation Putin invades versus the USA around the globe.
There is a greater % of Americans rooting for Putin than Russians.
Pretty sick don't you think?
The last thing Putin has is class.
Right down there with the people who think Obama is a failure on Putin's invasion.
Are you down with Cold War 2.0?
May all Americans rot in hell hoping Putin will succeed over Obama/USA .

You didnt say Putin at all; you said Russia.. Who said just Putin
You trash Durbin for the same reason you trash Obama--purely political.Dick Durbin
What this amounts to is "which world super-power's economy will blink first".
If I were a betting man I'd say Russia. The U.S. sanctioning their wealthy billionaires will have a far deeper economic impact on the Russian economy than their sanctioning our wealthy Congressmen. The source of our wealth rest with wealth creators who reside outside the DC beltway. Theirs rest within the Kremlin.
Setting aside this appears to be a done-deal before it happened with the West and USA, Putin realizes that Obama doesn't know how to play poker.
Regardless of how you see this incident, anyone else concerned at how weak and incompetent our President looks to the world.
Do something or do nothing, but don't look and act like a castrated gelding!
I'm guessing the Democrats hope that happens, too. Who gives a flying....whether Putin sanctions anybody or not? Hell, McCain is right - it's a badge of honor to be sanctioned by that petty little pissant.
If I was the Polish foreign minister, I'd be listening hard for the sounds of Russian tank engines warming up on his border. This is all so reminiscent of the European inaction when Hitler
Are you enjoying the weaknesses of a FREE society in your mind?
That Putin has a rubber stamp for a congress versus FREELY elected and ACTING Senators and congressman.

Putin: "If you don't stop interfering in Crimea, I'll ban your Senators from entering Russia."
Congress: "HA HA we don't give a !@#$"
Putin: "If you don't stop interfering in Crimea, I'll ban all Vodka and caviar exports to the US."
Congress: "HA HA we don't give a !@#$"
Putin: "If you don't stop interfering in Crimea, I'll give Iran S-400 missiles and we'll see how Israel copes with them."
Congress: "As we said before, the sanctions against Russia are wholly unjustified and must be cancelled immediately. Russia is a free and prosperous democracy, and Putin is a great man."
Putin doesn't have a problem with EU countries, does he?
That is most definitely Obama's fault in your book.
As with the Malaysian plane, right ?
You didnt say Putin at all; you said Russia.
How many of your Vietnam brothers were killed with Russian/Soviet weapons?
You trash Durbin for the same reason you trash Obama--purely political.
Get realObama knows that it will have zilch effect. He's just tossing this cowboy swagger around to pacify the naive, gullible voters who don't like to think of their country as "weak."
What's hilarious to the max is the inability of so many on the right to recognize that Obama is doing that, and isn't even trying to do anything.
That's why they think O is weak--they assume, childishly, that he actually cares about this latest action by Putin and is doing his best, when he really doesn't. Weakness, FYI, is only exhibited when one wants to fight but can't, but not when one refuses to do so.
Neither side seriously wants a rupture but both sides are compelled to escalate the tension to serve their respective political interests.
Excellent, Godwin's Law makes a comeback.
