Russia can do whatever they want on Trump’s watch

Easy to explain, Trump and MAGAs favor Putin and Russia. Without question.
 
So tell us what you think we should be doing about Putin? Just how far are you willing to go? Boots on the ground in a war in Europe? Risk a nuclear reaction by Putin? How far do you think Putin will go? Please don't forget that neither Obama nor Biden did a thing to slow Putin's quest for more land. Obama didn't make any firm stands and Putin invaded Crimea. Biden called Putin a criminal, refused to talk with him and Putin invaded more of Ukraine. So please don't insult our intelligence as if the democrats have been strong against Putin and Russia. Oh, and don't forget Hillary's reset button!
Personally I'm for the absolute strongest sanctions we can put on Russia but that will only work if all of the EU/NATO members go along and that's been a problem in the past. I haven't heard any Americans say lets send troops to Ukraine to tame Putin. In fact most want to stay clear of European affairs. How do you kill a snake? Cut off the head!
 
I wonder what sort of taco salad statement will be made?
Will it contain vague considerations of sanctions?
Will the strings attached to Putin's fingers be visible?

They know Putin is Trump's blackmailer (or do they? ), and he's got some seriously bad shit on him: money laundering, pedophilia etc. We have a compromised president, and it's true, Putin can do whatever he wants. The MAGA dupes and stupes make any real American sick.

My take, Putin is a monumental problem. I can't and won't make excuses for any past presidents. The problem I have currently is that every time Trump has the opportunity to push back, he melts. If this is all he's going to do, he may as well just stay away from Putin and shut up.

I would prefer the US takes back the roll of military dominance and quit the *****footing around.
 
And do what? Start a shooting war with Russia?
I don't think that dealing with Putin is easy, as some democrats seem to believe. He's KGB trained and lying comes easy. He's devious, he's a manipulator and he certainly can't be trusted because his word means nothing. So how to deal with him? Force? What kind, military or economic? Should the world shun him and Russia? Sure, but you will never get the less than democratic nations to go along with that.
I'd start with strong economic sanctions and do whatever to make them stick. Problem is you cannot depend on all the nations to go along and that's what it takes. This is reminiscent of the lead up to WWII. Europe didn't really want to get involved enough to stop Hitler. Just ignore it and it will go away, how'd that work. Peace in our time, said Chamberlain. Led to the largest military conflict ever on the globe with horrific loss of life.
So all the geniuses need to submit their detailed plan in writing an see how far it goes. Democrats need to stop bitching about literally everything and try to come up with reasonable cognizant proposals instead of the stupid things they support. Men in women's sports, cashless bail, reducing serious violent crimes to misdemeanors and turning violent offenders back on the streets, unlimited illegal immigration, mutilation of our children to cure what is clearly a mental issue, stupid spending of American taxpayer dollars on foolish whims. Democrats have no plans, just dreams of what they want the world to be, mostly stupid dreams.
So, what do we do with Putin? Send Hillary with another "reset" button?

As I recall, your fearless leader promised to have this all wrapped up in a day or two. Has he failed at this?

As far as economic sanctions go, there is a bipartisan bill before the Senate, the Sanctioning Russia Act of 2025, cosponsored by weathervane Graham and Blumenthal with a total of 84 cosponsors. It has primary sanctions that further target the Russian banks and entities, and secondary sanctions consisting of 500% tariffs on nations that buy oil, gas, petrochemicals, etc from Russia.

There is talk of lowering the price paid for Russian crude from $60 to %50/bbl. and expanding enforcement against insurers of Russian crude shipments by denying them access to the western financial system and markets. This should be pursued.

There are lots of ways to bleed Russia white without putting boots on the ground.
 
The U.S. has never, ever possessed the power to stop Russia from doing what it wants at any point, so this whole narrative is rather silly.
 
The U.S. couldn’t “militarily dominate” people who didn’t even have tanks. America is the only country that has victory disease despite endlessly losing wars.
 

Trump said everyone fears and respects him. Why isn’t that enough? You mean it is not true? Is that possible?

Who are you talking too? Obama, Biden? This conflict started under under them and escalated under them. So blame Trump for what? No solution in 8 months? What about the years of no answers during Obama, Biden?

I already said I refuse to make excuses for past presidents. However, Trump is the one who bragged about ending the war in 24 hours. Another one of many campaign lies that got the moron elected. If he didn't think he could get it done, he shouldn't have conned his supporters into believing it.

I can't believe Putin would do this, I mean the jets flew right over his head! Putin plays Donny like a fiddle, remember Trump bragged to the world no one does anything when he is in charge. How many Ukranians need to die before he figures it out?
 
I had made the assumption that the drones penetration into Poland was just along the border. However I have since found out the drones are well into the airspace of Poland.
I don't see any tactical advantage for Russia (or Belarus) to do their targeting this way.

It appears to me that drones may have been launched from Kaliningrad.
