Russia attacks and destroys US owned electronic factory in Ukraine and US withdraws from peace talks

Russia's GDP crashed in the Q2

I think the US is, what, about 1.5% on the year? EU nations aren't even growing. I do think Russia is going to have - probably already is having - a period of economic flat-lining similar to what the US experienced in the lates stages of WW2. Wartime production provides a boost for a couple of years before it tends to plateau and perhaps go into recess. It's not collapsing, however. Russia's like in the top 5 economies on the planet when it comes to purchasing power and it has vast quantities of natural resources, and it's far, far ahead of the US in terms of procuring more resources in the Arctic.

Not if Ukraine keeps blowing up their oil facilities.

1. They can have it refined elsewhere.
2. Russia's only going to tolerate that for so long before they counter-escalate.

Russia will not use nukes. If they do, it's over for Russia.

An all-out war wouldn't start with nukes. Russia would use their hypersonic missiles in that scenario. Not the drones that are easy to shoot down, but the missiles that reach European targets within minutes. My point is that such a war would trigger panic on both sides. It's not hard to imagine that this would quickly spiral out of control.

So....what would you call a person who failed to bring a peaceful end to a war? A winner?
Its not our war. Biden failed to bring an end to it. Trump tried and failed as well. The bad news for Russia is that the US, NATO, the EU and Ukraine are now pretty much united in their defense of Ukraine.

Ukraine is the victim. It should not have to cut it's military.
If anything, RUSSIA should be demilitarized.
OK. Come and try to"demilitarize" it . Good luck .
Then Russia should stop being a belligerent shit all the time.
You are nobody to dictate Russia what it should do , and last person in the Earth who will be consulted on the matter .
Your country has No place in Russian foreign policy .
But if you insist , enroll with Ukrainian military and try to stop Russia from whatever you like.

Swallowing Ukraine whole would be a headache Russia doesn't want or need.
This is Russia we're talking about. If they were afraid of headaches, they wouldn't have invaded Ukraine in the first place. I'm sure they'd happily take the whole thing given the chance.

Not only did he fail to bring it to an end, he did much to provoke it and his Sec of State put the kibosh on any kind of possible diplomatic off-ramp back in 2022. One could argue that Biden, Obama, and Bush failed to prevent it, provoked it, and failed to end it (depending on the timeline). I think I've made my personal feelings about Trump generally pretty clear, but he is the first president who seems truly committed to bringing this shit show to a close. The tough part for him is that he doesn't want to exit this conflict making America look weak, and he has people in his DoD, intel community, his trans-Atlantic counterparts, and NATO warning him of catastrophe if he withdraws. I don't think there's avoiding political fallout if (when) Russia brings the war to a close on its terms more than on Ukraine's, but the bigger catastrophe is letting this war continue into next year.

It will help then to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine .
Everybody will be happy.

Why? You're doing it to yourself.

Also, thanks for once again confirming that you are in fact Russian.
You are nobody to dictate Russia what it should do , and last person in the Earth who will be consulted on the matter .
The fortunate part here is that nobody cares what Russia thinks, either.
Your country has No place in Russian foreign policy .
No, we'll just give weapons to your enemies.
But if you insist , enroll with Ukrainian military and try to stop Russia from whatever you like.
When do you volunteer for the meat waves?
