DeSantis is so dumb. If he wants to defend Israel's tactics in Gaza, he should emphasize that Gaza has a population of 2.38 million, and Israel with only 9.04 million would take significant losses from a purely land invasion.

Instead of which he has some thuggish fantasy of a country of 338 million beating up a country of only 410 thousand.

As luck would have it, the country with proportionate population (to Israel/Gaza) is our rival Iran. 88 million. Slightly more is Vietnam and slightly less is Turkey. If DeSantis thinks it's acceptable to "flatten" any of those countries for harboring terrorists, it perfectly illustrates why DeSantis can never be trusted with command of the US military.

Right out of the gate, and as much as his pipedream fantasy for making such a statement, such flattening wouldn't be complete within five minutes. Our military response to flatten the Bahamas wouldn't happen within 5 minutes. There first would be instant confusion as to why the hell the Bahamas started firing on Fla and a quick military assessment as to what the hell is going on and precisely where and who exactly are firing rounds at Fla. That would take much more than 5 minutes. However, upon scrambling fighter jets there still wouldn't be the knee jerk reactionary need to kill everyone in the Bahamas but to, as quickly as possible, learn where the fire attack is actually coming from, if in the Bahamas, and then try to get a fix on the proper targets to hit. DeSantis the boob can shove his under 5 minutes theory up his runny butt just like his runny mouth.
 
How would we go about thanking the Bahamas?

Slightly different. Bahamas is a Commonwealth country and it might piss off the Brits.
