The use of food as a weapon of war/control/punishment has a long history in Israeli actions/policies so it doesn't come as a surprise to see them underfeeding Palestinian prisoners/hostages.

I suppose the only difference today is that they don't deny it, they brag about it.

I agree with one commentator that it's part of a river or death strategy aimed at isolating Israel in the eyes of its people and thus forcing them to fight rather than drown..

The use of food as a weapon of war/control/punishment has a long history in Israeli actions/policies so it doesn't come as a surprise to see them underfeeding Palestinian prisoners/hostages.

Hamas, on the other hand, had their hostages eat the same as the guards, and the guards risked their lives to protect them. The rogue terrorist state are the terrorists.
