It would give the Trump administration the power to strip the tax-exempt status of any nonprofit it deems a “terrorist-supporting organization.”

More stomping out dissent and going after anything that isn’t inline with their dog shit far right extremist views.

More gov overreach and authoritarian abuse.

Another daily scandal. The president doesn't get to unilaterally decide which organizations are tax exempt. This is a huge power grab. And it's purpose? Trump wants to threaten anybody who is on the left or those who disagree with him on their exemption status.

And MAGAts keep saying that Traitor Trump isn’t a fascist.

Liars and morons, the lot of them.

That's the key question. Getting right to the heart of the matter. Forget what the bill does: Focus on the really important part.

Well, I can't read the bill since the stupid website requires my email so it's all I have to offer.

I am not signing up for spam from some liberal piece of trash news site.

Is this about the Harvard thing? Are liberals now in favor of multi-billion-dollar organizations being tax-exempt?

habitus corpus? We don't need no steenkeen habitus corpus.

If an organization qualifies to be tax exempt per the IRS code below then it’s tax exempt. It’s not a decision for the executive branch-especially the scumbag president-to make, whether it’s liberal or conservative or somewhere in between.

One requirement of non-profits is they must serve for the public good. What constitutes 'public good' is debatable. Teaching and educating our kids is certainly in the public good. But once a school become political talking piece then it becomes far more questionable. My view is there's a difference between educating kids about the difference in political opinion vs using a school as a tool for protest, demonstration and social change.

Wait, who expects you to, you know, read things?

It allows the sec of Treasury to strip organizations of tax exempt status if he or she deems it a 'terrorist organization.'

The article is paywalled. But there is nothing wrong with doing this, as long as there is some coordination with the state dept as to what is considered by the USA a 'terrorist organization.'

So churches where the pastor starts bragging about how great Trump is loses its tax exempt status because it went political.

Another large batch of lawsuits Trump can look forward to losing.

Fascism is as fascism does, that is all this is.

Hopefully this monstrosity will be killed in the Senate.
