Republicans and Democrats had similar views of Russia – until Trump's election.

Imagine that. Since the 2016 election Republicans mirror Trumps fondness for the Kremlin.

Ike and Ronny Raygun must be turning over in their graves.

We just went through a huge investigation that found that Russia spent a lot of resources to attempt to influence a presidential election, including attacking the election systems of all 50 states, and the highest percentage we get acknowledging Russia as a major threat is 65 percent.

The Republican outrage is an anemic 35%. Pathetic.

I think you can put the current concerns about Russia squarely on the MSM's drumming it into our heads day and night. That, coupled with the years of blasting Americans constantly about "collusion" and "Election interference" will of course have an effect.

Admittedly I had a better opinion of Russia after the Fall of Soviet Russia and prior to Putin's ascension. Putin is a communist apparatchik turned fascist oligarch, and he wants to re-unite the empire of Russia under his rule.

However, I don't currently consider him a major threat to the USA, despite his attempt to "interfere." I also think Russians are getting tired of his political shenanigans too.

I also think Trump is simply trying to maintain a positive relationship, regardless of who is in charge there. NOT because he is a Russian stooge, but rather to push American interests while pretending to be friendly.

One need only look at his attempts to undermine Russian energy sales to the E.U. to see where Trump's real feelings lay.

IMO the REAL threat is Communist China. They are playing the long game pretending to be more open while working hard to dominate the world economically, and eventually establish communism as they perceive it.

A lot of resources? hahahaha Not 1 single vote was changed because of anything Russia did. What might have changed votes is the nonstop fake news coverage of the Russia Conspiracy Hoax that found no crimes, no collusion, and more importantly no impeachment. Pretty sad when the only way to get votes is to lie about the other side...exactly what Id expect from the Democrats.

There is nothing to be outraged about. Russia tried to influence the election but they didnt.

Uh oh, Obama said the cold war is over, therefore being Putin's butt buddy is totally good.

Seriously, you need to work on your comprehension of issues.

And it's by the dems to boot. The once great GOP, defenders of freedom, strong on military and national defense has become the cult of trump there is no other way to interpret their total lack of interest in relations between us and russia. How did the GOP turn into the party of wearing t-shirts that say I would rather be russian than a democrat. How do you take this president's word over all of our intelligence agencies who say russia is a severe threat to our democracy?

In my opinion, russia's intent was to cause mass confusion in america and sadly those on the right are proving them correct. I'm heading towards seventy and this president is the single biggest threat to our country I have ever witnessed. Way more dangerous than nixon. Keep it up GOP and then wonder why americans are drifting away from your party.

I think eventually both russian and chinese governments will be forced to change. Even north korea can't keep all world news from drifting into the country. As technology progresses and these countries become more capitalistic people will eventually tire of the iron fisted rule and rebel. It's already happening.

I used to be a Republican. But "my Republican" era was nothing even remotely like today's Republican.

I had to get out. The GOP of today violates virtually every tenet I grew up on.

I honestly don't know how anyone over sixty can even recognize this party as the GOP. I never agreed with the GOP platform as a whole but I never considered them evil. Today I do.
