:doh
I have been posting all through the thread
So to make things clear.
People can attack Bush and it is fine, but with Obama it must be racism?
I've encountered this argument from you in another thread.
"Did you read the article?"
"Yes, I did."
"I don't believe you."
Your debate skills are... lacking....

I'm confused, whose this Shrub character? Did we have a plant of some sort voted into the presidency? Did the Knights that say Ni have something to do with this?
Please, I'm a bit lost. Who is this "Shrub" gentleman?
Laila, Hautey...you all really need to stop.
I mean, its absolutely positively clear to everyone here what you're doing.
You're defending those criticizing Obama as not necessarily automatically being racists.
This is of course just a secret and code way for you to call Obama a Nigger. Why do you two hate black people so much?

Calling Obama a socialist or whatever is not the same as calling him the N word. That's ridiculous. Quit playing the race card.
You're right it is not, for the most part.
It is a judgement call to make, and I have made it with some of the more vocal elements of the population.
It is my call to make, not yours.
Calling Obama a communist instead of a nigger is pretty stupid. I mean I don't know how racist people would go about making that sort of decision. But I'm sure it would be something like :
David Duke : Alright guys. We can't call him a nigger anymore. I know. I know! Trust me. I know. We need to come up with something that we'd call a leftist anyways. Oh I know! Communist! Nobody would ever think of calling a liberal a communist! YEAH! That's it. From now on instead of calling Obama a nigger. We'll call him a commie!
Well I guess that we are even in our not knowing who the other is refering to since I have no idea what "Knights that say Ni " means.
Yet since I am a very cooperative person by nature I will give you a clue and I do not do this for just anyone but you are basically a reasonable civil guy so I will help you out. Think about a diminuative version of a bush. It's conceptual not visual so some people get it right a way others work on it for a while. I am sure that you got the deal since you are a urbane intelligent guy.
I'm not saying it's not your call, I'm saying it's stupid to equate the two.
Always interesting to encounter a poster who fails desperately in familiarizing themselves with the history of labeling black civil rights leaders, and black politicians with code language words such as "communist," "socialist," and "fascist."
You're right it is not, for the most part.

History stubbornly disagrees with your claim.
In fact, the two have been equated, countless times in different decades.
Your opinion hardly matters in the face of the public record.
Did you just say I don't know my black civil rights history? Please tell me you didn't?
You sit here saying that people who dare to compare Obama to a socialist are really just horrible bigoted racists that are wanting to call him a nigger,.
What history is this?
Does anyone know a period where the word 'Communist' was used as a substitute for 'Nigger' .... anyone?
Most people do not mean to call him a "N" word.
But for the more vocal and crazy elements...absolutely.
It is a judgement call.
Code language for civil rights leaders and minority politicians is nothing new.
The record is more than clear.

The civil rights era.
Plenty of books have been published on this very subject.
However, to say a sizable majority of those saying .
