Record Meth Bust In Texas 6.5 Tons

Why didn't they just stuff those 6 and a half tons up someone's ass and have them sneak cross the unprotected border?

I have heard that's how drugs get into the US.

That's a hard to comprehend quantity of something that gets used in miniscule amounts per dose. Makes you realize how huge the drug problem is.
 
Holy hell, that's a lot. Sadly just a drop in the bucket though overall. I've watched about every smuggler/border show there is on TV that they are mostly all reruns to me, and shit is crazy what's coming in. And that's just what is televised.

Just above ground they come up with some crazy concealment methods.
One recent one of note was a large electrical transformer that they saw an anomaly in and took them hours to dismantle.
Looked legit, multiple winding, etc and all. Forget how many pounds, but was a fair amount.

That sounds like poor logistical planning. I do dislike what meth is doing to areas which suffer from poverty, though.
