I've been registered Right To Life since about 1990 and voted Conservative in that whole time. However, I'm considering switching to Republican for a couple of reasons. First, so I can vote in GOP primaries and second, so I can do the following:

My hometown has not had a Republican mayor in 60 freaking years. And that mayor was Chester Kowal who served Buffalo from 1961-1965. I emailed the Erie County GOP to see what I can do since I cannot run myself do to certain circumstances in my life. This would be historic as Buffalo's Democrat/Republican ratio is 2:1. Mounting odds indeed but doable.

GO BUFFALO NEW YORK!!!!!!!:)Every time I am within fifty miles I always make sure to stop at the Anchor bar for the wings.

As for the rest I would never advise anyone to become a Republican. ;)

Why? You do know that the last time Buffalo was even remotely called solvent, a very Conservative Democrat was in the Mayor's office.

I have no doubt that you know much much more about the inner workings and history of Buffalo than I do.

I just love the wings at the Anchor Bar. ;):2wave:

Good luck with rebuilding the party, but at this time it it will be more of a autopsy than rebuilding unless you are hinting at Frankensteining the party!

Hey, with all these people finally realizing they have to save their party, maybe we'll have a more intelligent election in 2016.

There is a Right to Life party?
You must know that single issue voters have virtually NO influence on election results..
as for locally, we could have 50 different thinking pockets of people who have no influence....

The GOP cannot be saved as long as it is so fractured. It needs a new platform based on satisfying essential needs, and let God deal with the moral issues.
