Interestingly, it is illegal to sell raw milk for human consumption in Florida, but it is sold as pet food in Florida, with a required label that it has not been pasteurized for human consumption. So as long as a customer lies that the milk is for pet consumption, they can acquire raw milk for their own use.
The parents who gave raw milk to their children should be prosecuted for felony child endangerment. Can't stop them from killing themselves, but they should definitely not be endangering their kids.
The pet food loophole should be closed, but that won't happen with the current political composition of Tallahassee.
If you want an alternative to high temperature ultra-pasteurization, there is a product called cream top milk, which is pasteurized using a lower temperature, but longer duration cycle and which is not homogenized, giving at least the illusion of straight from the cow milk.

It's amazing how dumb and how reckless with their children's health people can be. I bet their kids are all unvaccinated too.

The government is not in place to take away our freedoms. If people want raw mild, they should be able to get it. I but a milk that is pasteurized but not homogenized. I would prefer it be homogenized but not pasteurized. But then I would also want a known safe place to get it.
Both my parents lived all their early life on raw milk, and so did I until my parents moved off the farm when I was young. The problem happens when you have a large operation that only takes one incompetent action to cause problems. The more people involved, the greater the risk of a mishap.

Again, back in the 70's and early 80's, didn't really think about the fact that batter has raw eggs. My children were not permitted to do so.
Just because me and my siblings got lucky and did not suffer ill effects does not negate the danger. Children have died from salmonella after consuming raw batter.
