He's not wrong, even if he may be doing it for political reasons.

It's not unreasonable, in my view, to expect that the 2016 Presidential primaries, at least on the Republican side, and again in the general election, will focus to a large extent on who among the candidates is going to reengage America in a serious way in world affairs. The foolish Obama experiment has proven to be a disaster and it's not impossible to believe that before Obama's term expires the terrorists will be successful in bringing destruction to American soil once again. The best way to insure against that is to bring the fight to them in their home base.

If you don't want to deal with comments from non-Americans, don't post threads on topics that affect people other than Americans and/or join a site that doesn't allow non-American members.

Well in my opinion the government is taking way to much time to decide about what to do about the whole ISIS problem. It's not something that needs to be made in two days but also isn't something that should be kept on the back burner. The Obama administration should have already been on this as soon as they heard news of ISIS. And the fact that they posted a picture on the internet outside the White House is even a much more bigger threat. It's very difficult for a country like the US to decide what needs to be the first step in dealing with this situation but to go on an all out attacking spree wouldn't do any good. We must learn from the past, be smart and think things through without making any rash decisions.

Im not a fan of Rand and I dont agree with his views but he is actually doing it the proper way- he is seeking Congressional authorization before launching an attack- unlike Dubya or Obama, he is actually following the Constitution.

You're all over the map with your bitching about Rand Paul aren't you? So we can assume you won't be voting for him, and maybe hunting down the nearest Democrat that's available; hoping we'll sit around twiddling our thumbs while ISIS brings their cells in through Mexico. With Obama in charge they'll probably even qualify for food stamps and welfare checks.

Though I used to be more if a 'fan' of Rand Paul's...that is fading.

I wasn't voting for him, but I did respect him for sticking to his guns and believing what he believes. Now that he is a mainstream republican I will criticize him.

Do neocons normally seek authorization from congress? is engaging a terrorist group a war, or simply an act of anti-terrorism? does the threat specifically, present a threat to the US? Is it a neocon thing to do, to actually seek solutions prescribed by the constitution?

and judging by your previous posts, you were never planning to vote for him to begin with, and yet you attack him without any real reason or vice.

"Dubya" and Obama had congressional authorization even Rand's daddy voted for sj res 23
