Johnson wasn't running in '08. I think he was endorsing Ron Paul, who I think is a crackpot. And, Libertarian dogma reminds me that America is not far from becoming like India: declining social services, poor infrastructure, and huge disparities in wealth.

Obama's history, from Harvard Law Review through his short stint in the Senate shows that he doesn't lean progressive. Contrary to what the media portrays, he is a solid Centrist. So much so, that the wingnut meme declaring him to be a socialist simply proves their ignorance.

Obama's voting record as Senator and his own words from his <ahem> "biography" scream very loudly that the opinion you just put forth is pure horse manure. Didn't read the book or look at his voting record, did you? Probably never listened very closely to any of his speeches either.

Why would I read his books? They're probably just filled with propaganda and other BS.

What I read was how he pissed off Liberals at Harvard who expected him to hand sweet do-nothing positions to minorities, which he did not. Now, I watch how he cuts deals that toss his base under the bus in an effort to move things forward. This is something the GOP has not learned to do. Unlike the Republican Party which has basically become a hostage of the Far Right, the Dems have been moving away from the Far Left for decades.

In governing, Obama is to the Right of Bill Clinton. Which surprised me, I must add. I never expected him to move beyond the old guard, shoving Jessie Jackson and his crowd by the wayside. Hats off to him for that.
