Wow assume much? Where in what I posted did it translate to I have NO problem with Homeland Security? Way to put words in peoples mouths there, but as usually, you are WRONG.
I have a big problem with Homeland Security, it shouldn't exist. But the problems that are occurring now were well forseen and since most conservatives and Republicans touted HLS, you guys shouldn't be complaining. This is what you get.

IMO, this is a great idea.
In the interest of security, we need a good national ID system.
For me - privacy be damned, I do not care as I am a law abiding citizen..
Others, they can run scared..

Could I interest you in one of the Godiva chocolates I have on my desk? Actually, take the whole box, dear.
Would you like a foot rub?
I seriously could go for some chocolate. For now I'm making due with berry chai tea.
Ah I love my new found power. There's nothing sweeter than ass kissing.
All throughout the campaign we heard the Democrats screaming about how forcing people to show ID in order to vote would impose a financial burden on the poor.
Are these same poor people going to have to now get ID's with transmitters?
Up next: guns with transmitters...

I would prefer guns all have an authorization link to a live webcam that an operator has to approve of before the gun goes off each time.
Now that's a horrible idea. If you need to use a gun in self defense I doubt you have time for an automated phone system that gives you the options in spanish first and then connects you to an operator in New Delhi.

You might be on to something here, nah, they'd mess it up by adding a coin slot or something, like the toll booth in Blazing Saddles...
I bet Dick Cheney would/is love(ing) this.
Some of you might be amazed on how fast data about someone is made available. Think for a minute when a really big story bursts how fast the networks are telling the viewers about a person, suspect or victim.
For those of you that blame our declining right to privacy on one political party you are showing your ignorance. If one party is to blame where is the outrage by the opposing party? The answer to that question is "nowhere to be found". What a technology permits we will then yield to that technologyin the nmae of a "better" America.
Has any one told you how beautiful you are today?

When Government invented the social security number, that was the day privacy become moot I think.
