Racism Against Chinese

I found this article interesting, as Chinese immigrants are being pushed out of Pacific Island nations even at the cost of the local economies. I have read much about Chinese racism against foreigners, especially Americans living and working in China, but this is the first I have heard of other nations and cultures rejecting the Chinese.

Thoughts?
 
Racism against the Chinese is incredibly common in Asia. Their economic and military influence is resented, and Chinese immigrants tend to be wealthier than the norm for whatever country they reside in.

I've heard them referred to disparagingly more than once as the "Jews of the East". Used the term myself, in a more flattering light, when among friends.
 

I think if it's okay to push chinese immigrants out of Pacific rim countries then it's okay to push Mexican illegal invaders out of the USA.

What nations choose to do regarding the presence of foreign nationals inside their borders is their concern, isn't it?
 

I don't find it surprising at all considering the Chinese air of superiority and global entitlement with their neighbors.
 

It is their business indeed, but it is going to desparately hurt their economy. The Chinese businesses they are pushing out are some of the most profitable.

Wait. What? This has caught me by surprise, how does this work?

On topic, the Chinese have had this issue for the past decades, if not plural tense. However, racism can be found in every corner of the world.
 
Racism seems to be somewhat judged on the economic status of a particular "race".

The panacea to racism has always seemed very simple to me we are all mixed "race" and the term "race" should be said in inverted commas because it is an outdated concept.

I agree. We been to China twice and I found them to be very friendly and welcoming.
