While some Obama supporters — e.g., Rep. James Clyburn — are busy trying once again to "play the race card" in some strange hope of benefiting Obama, Dr. Maya Angelou has been busy positively campaigning for Hillary Clinton.
Have the media covered this at all? No.

Most Americans who watch Oprah know of Dr. Maya Angelou as Oprah’s mentor, but Dr. Angelou earned acclaim years ago through her civil-rights leadership, poems and books. Dr. Angelou is a national treasure.

In Dr. Angelou's words regarding Senator Clinton:

"She has endured great scrutiny, and still she dares greatly. Hillary Clinton will not give up on you, and all she asks is that you do not give up on her. She is a long-distance runner. I am honored to say I am with her for the long run".

This is from an earlier piece:

You may write me down in history

"With your bitter, twisted lies,

"You may trod me in the very dirt

"But still, like dust, I’ll rise….

"Rise Hillary.

"Rise."

"race card nonsense" indeed. Dr. Angelou is what? the queen of hearts? gosh, it's so cooool that a sister supports Hillary. but why? does it have anything to do with Hillary's policy ideas? or does it have to do with the color of Maya's skin?

I thought so.

But... it's only a race card when a black person does it!

You thought what? You do think for yourself?

My point was that Hillary's has been accused of being racist by obama supporters and the obama campaign, and now your accusing me of playing the race card.

This is how another utterly disengenous and divisive obama supporter divides the party. I wonder why obama's unification speech has not struck a chord with you? That says a lot right there. Way to go! You and your ilk will hurt obama's chances of winning the general election more than the republicans will.

Dr. Angelou, and how apropro you're making fun of her, is one of the great african Americans out there. It's a great endorsement.

and why do you bring it up? because of what Maya has said about Hillary's policy ideas? or because she's black like Oprah?

Obama got over 90% of the black vote in North Carolina...........If you think race does not play a part in this nomination race you are in fantasyland......
