Its dodging because you simply state a cliche conclusion with no reasons or logic to back it up.
Everyone knows the right wing memes, and repeating them doesnt so anything to justify them.
the radical leftists are no longer going to listen to anything like this, they have found too much power in the racism claim. Conservatives are going to have to start resorting to publishing nonsensical studies that use leading questions and broad interpretations to point to, in order to refute the arguments from their side... all while having 2 people support that claim and another say anyone who disagrees is a moron to drive home the argument, whether its right or not.
its a psychological game, and unfortunately, it works.
Yes, it's a good thing our President never mentions things like "African-American unemployment rates" or Judges can't be fair and impartial because of their Mexican heritage.
Really want to know? IMO having grown up in several "ghettos" around the country, it's because the Democrats became the Party of "give-ism." They take other people's money and give it to us. We could count on them excusing all of our faults as due to oppression, racism, and slavery. That and they offer us goodies in the form of free or near free HUD or section 8 housing, guaranteed incomes playing the welfare system if we have enough kids or can't find a job, free or near free college educations with head-of-the-line affirmative action programs while making special SJW jobs for us!!
Why not vote for them? Of course now they are trying to replace us with immigrants, so that's starting to rock our boat...
(All the above is sarcasm with a grain of truth)
Politics is about coalitions. Racists are part of the Republican coalition. You can’t deny that. All the states that voted for segregation are now red.
Welfare was politically popular. FDR ran and won 4 terms on a chicken in every pot. It’s only when Blacks got welfare that it became unpopular. Conservatives used the image of Blacks on welfare as a political tool to excite racist Whites.
I haven’t even gone into the racism of drug prohibition that turned Black communities into war zones.
And if welfare is so bad why are so many European welfare states so successful?
Sorry, but absentee ballots and early voting negate those excuses. I haven't actually voted on election day in well over a decade, maybe two.
Educating people about the process is good. Teaching civic lessons and civic duty is much better than the kubaya crap ending in a group hug.
We had 60 absentee ballots and early voting out of 1400 registered voters. I am willing to bet half of them were straight party.
Evidence? Just curious. I did the same; straight Libertarian ticket.
As for numbers, over half of the 2016 votes in my county were through early voting. I expect about the same this year.
So, pointing out low AA unemployment is a bad thing, I guess.
So it's okay to mention race, as long as it's Trump doing it? Is that about right?
