Trump is seen in a video smiling at the protesters before gesturing for them to leave. They were then escorted out of the restaurant.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump’s rare outing to a local restaurant Tuesday night got off to a rocky start when he came face to face with protesters.

Trump, accompanied by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other administration officials, arrived by motorcade at Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab less than a quarter-mile from the White House.

Trump briefly spoke to reporters on the street outside the restaurant, where he was met with cheers and some chants of “free Palestine.”

Once he was inside, as he greeted restaurant patrons, a group of protesters holding Palestinian flags began chanting, “Free D.C., free Palestine, Trump is the Hitler of our time.”

The publicity stunt backfired.
 
Steve Schmidt, former John McCain campaign manager, has some advice, of which these women, members of an activist group called 'Code Pink', are well aware of. Steve Schmidt stated, "The First Amendment is our most powerful weapon against Donald Trump."
 
At least until the Trumplicans on SCOTUS find an end around.
 
Apparently some reporter asked why he never went to DC restaurants, so this trip materialised. Worrying that he can be so easily provoked.

The ridiculous actions and claims of the left are just increasing Trump's popularity. The left media isn't trusted by any but the most die hard far left wingers and the political leadership of the democrat party have bungled everything they touch.
 
And for exercising that right, it appears they got thrown out of the resturant. So I fully agree with their chants.

There is a certain percentage of Americans who have nothing better to do in life than to protest. I'm closing in on 70 now and I have never protested anything, no matter which side was in power. I've always had much better things to do with my life.
 
Why does he always need a ****ing entourage? Does he think he's a rapper? Are they afraid to leave him alone?

Donald has a net approval rating with only one group. listed there - white males. Underwater with all other groups and all issues, although the polling didn't separate between parties.

That's bullshit. Maga people are among the most poorly informed around.

The traditional media has more credibility than the right wing propaganda media. The left and the middle use the traditional media. The maga nuts restrict themselves to only the media that Trump tells them to use. That absolute willingness to let Dysfunctional Donald make personal decisions for them about where to get information makes it a cult.

It's like they are afraid to see the reality, see what the rest of the world is seeing, so they block it out.

Well-informed people use multiple sources of information and understand how to vet the information they are receiving.
