Legacy Media Is just old. I'm in my late 70's & I recall some media as being reciters of press releases. While there were others who would dig into stories & try to verify the truth . I'm afraid there still is, Nixon was the worse hater of the press & the Press brought him down. The straight press is informing the public while the partisan (fake new) is spewing lies.
Somebody has to fact check their media.

And in 2005 people actually trusted the fact changers. But now everyone is fully aware that they are nothing but partisan commentators trying to spin stories to favor their party or slander the opposition.

Facts are rarely, if ever, involved.

And by "straight press" you mean the DNC Propaganda corps?

I can think of some pretty serious lies and disinformation by the so called "press," the Russian Collusion Conspiracy theory, the claim the Hunter laptop was fake or "Russian Disinformation," the claim that Joe Biden was "sharp as a tack."

One side lies incessantly - the left side.

Even those who have left the NY Times have exposed that it is pure fiction, written to support the democrat party with utterly no relation to truth or honest reporting. The Little Goebbels of the DNC press.
