"If Donald Trump is elected, he’ll take office next year having learned the lessons of four years of legal battles in his first term, during which inexperienced personnel, slapdash policymaking and his own indifference to how the federal government worked made his agenda especially vulnerable to legal challenges.

The 2024 Republican nominee already has a clear idea of how he’d jumpstart a second term, with plans to immediately enact hardline immigration policies and to dismantle civil service protections for thousands of federal employees.

His allies, including the influential conservative organizations that have participated in the endeavor known as Project 2025, have crafted policy papers and vetted potential Trump-aligned staff that could swiftly be hired to the federal government, so that his vision could be quickly and effectively implemented. “Honestly, the Trump administration was often sloppy in the way they rolled out these executive orders, including the first Muslim travel ban,” Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson told CNN, referring to the Trump ban on migrants from several Muslim-majority countries that was the target of one of nearly 100 lawsuits brought by the Evergreen State against the Trump administration."

I can only hope that by election day, Americans of all parties will be so sick of delusional trump and his endless nonsense, they will do the right thing and vote for stability and normalcy, and rights for all of us, not just the rich and ultra-rich.

Well we cannot really got sick of Harris because she does not say anything. She needs to do interviews. At least Trump is answering questions. Not how many want but Harris’ puppet masters are telling her no. Debates they both have to do. No choice. As time passes, many voters will want that from Harris.

The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. As long as *Rump can speak, he has the potential to torpedo whatever and whoever is in place through the efforts of Project 2025.

Having skimmed through their manifesto, Mandate for Leadership, certain themes keep coming up again and again. Key takeaways:
  • P2025 is extremely hostile to the LGBTQ community, and they intend to reverse all progress made over the last few decades.
  • P2025 is hostile to diversity efforts in general as well. Offices of diversity and inclusion would likely be shuttered and civil rights enforcement would be reduced, perhaps considerably.
  • USAID is at or near the top of their shitlist for reasons that aren't totally clear to me, but it seems that they want to transform US foreign assistance and foreign policy in general so that it aligns with their domestic agenda.
  • A second Trump administration would be a disaster for the environment. It would be full-steam ahead to global ecocide, with America steering that ship.
