There will be a growing number of conservative who never realize how they are going to be harmed by what they voted in and go through various levels of shock when they are caught up in it.

Yeah. Like massively higher drug prices as they try to live on their Social Security check.

What social security check?

They want to kill that.

They want to privatize social security, meaning actually that you are on your own and it will be your own choice if you want to invest or just keep all your earnings and never plan for your future. Big greedy money can't wait to get it's hands on social security. Just what that system needs, right? Just like how cost efficient health care is, there will now be a middle man getting a cut of your retirement. Big money financial corporations will now get a cut of your retirement. Oh boy. I can hardly wait.

Maybe there will be a plan to have managed retirement investments.

That seems a little scary, tying retirement to the stock market and then considering drastic moves that could crash the economy.
 
Get ready for social programs to get cut way back. Lots of homeless people on the street. Nothing will be done to bring down home prices or ease the housing market. It will get worse. There will be no program to increase the availability of affordable homes.

More housing will be taken over by for-profit corporations. Home owners will become renters.

They want your savings, folks!

They get rich by prevent others from achieving home ownership and creating their own wealth.

They want it. They want it all. There is no such thing as "enough" when it comes to raw greed.
 
This is one time that I hope Trump was lying.

Hey @CaughtInThe -- Don't know if you saw it on the blog section, but I've been writing summaries of the chapters in the blog section (called "book" club. Was wondering if these summaries are still useful or whether I should abandon the project. Got up to Chapter 4 -- the military.

(For the record, I don't care for purposes of the series whether you're a Republican or Democrat as I try to objectively report and summarize what's in there -- everyone interested, take a look, see if you're interested in the series)

That statement in insulting. We have not saved any Ukrainians funding this war. We have sacrificed over 1,000,000 of them.

I have a hard time believing Trump can stop this war quickly... but I bet if he tells Putin we will not put their ethnically Russian southern neighbor in NATO that he might just quit killing them.

I know that they don't allow you to put something on Twitter unless it's true, but, I for some reasons suspect @PLANETMARRIANE has not, actually, read the plan she claims to be describing.

None of them have. i DID read much of it. It's boilerplate right wing fodder. It's quite harmless, and FAR TOO WORDY. They should have had AI summarize it. But the things people SAY are in there? Bah.

But nobody cares. They just want to quote what they heard from some other useful idiot that spins them up.
