Representative Eric Swawell has warned that "Republicans are going to come to the Capitol to celebrate cop killers" over a rally planned for September 18 to seek "justice" for individuals who have been charged in connection to the January 6 Capitol riot. A "Justice for J6" event at the Union Square area of the Capitol grounds has been organized by a nonprofit group led by former Trump campaign operative Matt Braynard to protest charges against January 6 rioters. Braynard has assured authorities that the rally will be peaceful, but D.C. police have expressed fears that it will quickly turn violent.

"This is America, they can peacefully assemble, they can celebrate what they want. But Americans should know that in a couple of weeks, Republicans are going to come to the Capitol to celebrate cop killers. "These unmasked individuals celebrating cop killers, creating more and more [COVID-19] mutations that are threatening our kids will be in Washington D.C. We just have to make sure that if they are ready to get violent that we're ready again in a better way than on January 6 to defend the Capitol," Swalwell added.

I was going to say it won't be long before one of our Trump sycophants pops on board and makes some inane comment to defend this buffoonery, but I didn't get here on time, one of them already did.

Says Eric Swalwell, huh?? You mean the guy who falsely parroted the Russia collusion narrative, lying for 3 years about "having evidence to prove it", all the while apparently banging a Chinese spy?

First of all, NO COPS WERE KILLED AT THE CAPITAL BY TRUMP SUPPORTERS! The only officer who died, passed away of a STROKE days later, but was not injured by Trump supporters!.

The only radicals who provably DID murder police officers, were BLM and Antifa, who then literally celebrated it! It's been the left and the democrats who've demonized police for the past few years, calling them Nazis, fascists and racists, while conservatives supported the police! Someone is suffering from 'selective memory'....
 
As with J6, hopefully there are no actual counter protesters there......



.....and everyone gives the disease spreading deplorables a wide berth.

You're right. That's because there weren't any murders of police at the capitol! In fact, by BLM standards, it truly was a "mostly peaceful protest"... Now there were quite a few cops randomly murdered by BLM/Antifa supporters! How quickly ^some people forget.....
