That's an exaggeration. A small amount of research yields 13 pieces of major legislation signed into law this year, among them many bills which have encouraged the economic recovery we are now beginning to see.He's done not one damn thing since taking office except sow the seeds of destruction of our Nation
I assure you, no country has ever fallen into decline because its government tried to institute equal healthcare for all. To compare socialized medicine to communism is inflamatory and misinformed.These Dims want a revolution but they should be careful what they wish for because history tells us the in the end no one wins in the aftermath of Socialist/Communist failure which always comes in time.
I say stop being Dim and come into the light, read American History starting with the Declaration Of Independence and the Constitution.

At what point is your selfishness alleviated, and your satisfaction achieved?
You realize at some point your health and life will fall short of some others regardless of the amount of health services the federal government affords you?
And what is your plan if Bill Gates goes out beyond the public plan and buys himself a healthier body than your government is willing to give you? Will your civil rights have been deprived?
I might have been unclear; I didn't mean to suggest that it's government's job to grant everyone equal health. I simply believe that you and I have the same right to healthcare as those with more money than we have.
Do you really think you can judge someone to be a selfish person after reading one post of theirs on an internet forum? Rethink that one. Share your opinions and I will be willing to listen without personal judgment, and perhaps learn something. I'd appreciate the same attitude from others.
I now acknowledge that you meant everyone has the right to opportunity of care. But in the society we live in this is not fully possible. Those who make enough income will always be able to purchase extra private care. Except with the kind of plans Congress is offering fewer middle and upper class people will be able to seek such options. And it will of course cost more for those who can still afford it.
The only way to provide true equality of opportunity is for the federal government to sieze all facets of healthcare. This means outlawing private sources, and setting absolute regulations and limitations. But then all of the fear stories from the Right will become reality, and the federal budgets will eventually drown in debt.
It's true, politicians lie a lot. If this needs to be proven to someone with this much effort than it probably isn't going to work out for the viewer.
What is the problem? This nation, the USA, is a republic, who has people elected by a democratic system, this means that the people put others in power, and the people in power are to act accordingly with great limitation. When a person can honestly say they are aware of bribery and lobbyists in DC, has democracy failed? When a person can honestly say that politicians are liars and corrupt, has democracy failed? When a person can honestly state that a political incumbent gets re-elected 98% of the time, has democracy failed?
-ABSOLUTELY-. The problem isn't bush, cheney, obama, biden or any other individual we can name. The problem is our politically elected as a whole and who they represent. Do you believe they represent the people? Can the system even be suggested as how it was ment to be? How many men and women live as they were meant to live?
There is a tremendous problem in this country, the task of fixing it is a viable one indeed. I hope that those who come across this message read it and feel a small bit of strength come to their lives in knowing that someone out there gives a sh1t.
If you aren't aware, it has occured many times through out history, when gun control comes in, citizens get killed. Look into turkey, china, russia, and germany over the past 100 years. They all died because they failed to defend themselves and practice a basic and essential idea, keeping and practicing arms.
