Los Angeles, the city of sprawling protests and political resistance, was subject to scrutiny last weekend—this time, in the skies. Flight trackers and aircraft data showed that an MQ-9 Reaper, a military-rated drone often employed in foreign combat areas, flew over LA during political protests.

The drone, which traced a hexagonal flight path over Paramount and downtown LA, later went on to be tracked toward the US-Mexico border. The aircraft lacked an initial callsign, raising suspicions and speculations among civil rights activists and aerial hobbyists.

Air traffic control audio recordings captured by tracking enthusiast "Aeroscout" apparently verified that the aircraft was a DHS-piloted Q-9 Reaper drone.

You know what amused me to no end about that article? The picture.

That is a toy...NOT a Predator drone.

btw, Predator drones don't "hover".

Oh, and the article identifies the drone as "Predator" and "MQ-9 Reaper". Sorry, but it can't be both. They are two distinctly different machines.

Seriously...that article is from a site called "Tech Times"? And they can't even get the tech right?

Can you believe it? Here we are trying to peacefully riot, attack cops, loot buildings, burn down cars in the street, throw bricks at ICE agents, threaten to kill ICE agents.......and THEY have the nerve to continue to do their job...and then send in the National Guard to preserve peace....AND NOW DRONES?????????
