so if you already knew that the NRA wasn't a "pro gun politcal force" when JFK was alive then why bring it up?
It never has been NIMBY. its your party that wanted to scape goat gun owners and NRA members to hide the fact that DEMS were weak on inner city criminals. And when the NRA objected to the DEMOCRATS scapegoating gun owners, the DEMOCRATS started pushing laws designed to harass NRA members.
Every problem in the USA is due to Democrats dontchaknow, says one of the titular leaders of the GOP who puts crosshairs on DEM Congressfolks like Gabby Giffords.
As Teddy Roosevelt said and NIMBY always says, what will Americans think of the corrupt to the core Gilded wing of the GOP in a hundred years ?
I wanted to see if you actually knew anything about our presidents.
THE NRA was forced to become a pro gun political force when the POST JFK DEMOCRAT party adopted gun control as a facade to pretend the DEMOCRATS were trying to do something about black street crime-a charge NIXON used effectively to bash the party in power in 1965 or so
Amongst many of his faults, Nixon bought into the racist Southern Strategy perfected by the skkkumbag Lee Atwater--GOPricks can run from his dirty deeds done dirt cheap but his stain will forever live with Republiekkkants .
it was pro gun back then, and I was merely playing the same game others did with DDE.
what game? when has anyone EVER used the term LINO?
Look NIMBY-I get it that Democrats don't like the NRA's massive support of mostly GOP candidates. But its YOUR party that turned the NRA into such a power
Meaningless moronic nonsense when you can't address my points.
And when I do bring up targeted Martial Law, you Libertarians hide behind the skirt of the 4th amendment.
Republies don't want an end to inner-city crime--it's such a useful cudgel whenever there is another mass murder of my children .
in other words, you don't like the fact it was effective. Black criminals were something the Democrat party coddled and this opened the door to nixon-who was a gun banner BTW
they call them DINOs
A brief history of the term RINO, from Roosevelt to Boehner - VoxWhy not DINO?
But there's one lingering question: Why aren't DINOs as big a phenomenon? It might be because other terms for heterodox Democrats have always been popular (think Blue Dog Democrats and Yellow Dog Democrats), or it could be because someone's "progressive" nature has become the watchword for their authenticity.
Which means Nixon was the perfecto Republican politician--a blatant irrational lying steaming pile of dung (BIL SPOD) .
I have never heard that term used in my life in fact i just googled it and the first thing that came up was an article describing the history of the word RINO
with this written near the bottom

your just pulling an "i am rubber, you are glue defense" aren't you?
most of your points are so far off the topic of this thread, I don't respond to them since they aren't germane
The Club for Growth is really pounding Trump out here in Iowa--he's down in the latest Iowa polls .
its probably because there is no advantage to pretending to be a DEM when you aren't
After two pages of political speak, no one has been able to define clearly what a RINO actually is or how one becomes one. Typical.
He was a gun banner. I wasn't old enough to vote then. He was gone when I was 14
maybe if JFK hadn't have stolen the election, nixon wouldn't have been such a paranoid asshole in later life
Nahhh is an ugly smear campaign against the Founders to roll them in with the crop of angry old white men we have running around crying and lamenting like spoiled grade schoolers.
Course it is a bit of a ahhhh whitewash to forget the other folks who worked, fought and died to create this grand and glorious nation. Oh and while we are at it, this country wasn't empty- there were roughly 30 million REAL native Americans here before the first European stepped ashore.
Si, amigo- it is a WONDERFUL thing... I'd opine the delusion is with the angry old white guys who think only Northern European stock can grasp the concepts that built this nation. Any war memorial in recent times should show even the most deluded many non-Euro whites many other races and ethnicity thought this country was worth fighting for and many died...eace
Care for my opinion?Everybody please take serious consideration in your answer.
It has come to my attention that despite being a registered republican. I am not one. How could this be? Well apparently I am not conservative enough for some members here... Yet those same members do not even show the slightest bit of passion I do about my party. It appears those who try to undermine others in the party and wish nothing but ill will towards it or hope to change it are considered actual republicans. For some reason that is not considered being a RINO, or as the name implies Republican in Name Only. Further it seems to be quite easy to become a RINO because all one has to do is piss some conservative off.
So to prevent this confusion and to make RINO seem less pejorative. I think and ask the community here for some help on this, that we should outline what it means to be an establishment in either party. For some reason this happens less on the Democrat side despite its members being just as chaotically flip floppy.
If Eisenhower was alive right now lots of GOPers would call him a RINO.
