WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump is facing political headwinds for his “big, beautiful bill” as Republican leaders hope to begin votes on it in the Senate this week.

Specifically, five new surveys indicate that the GOP is losing the battle of public opinion on a major piece of legislation they’re aiming to pass by July 4.

Nonpartisan polls released this month show that voters have a negative perception of the bill. The House-passed version, which is facing modest revisions in the Senate, would extend the 2017 Trump tax cuts while slashing taxes on tips and overtime, and enact a series of spending cuts to Medicaid and other programs.

A Fox News poll found that 38% of registered voters support the “One Big Beautiful Bill” based on what they know about it, while 59% oppose it.

Ok trump supporters, who is lying this time, fox about the poll numbers, the polls themselves are bullshit, you don't care trump is doing a great job regardless of what the polls say. Or, is it trump lying about his approval ratings?

I sincerely hope the Republicans pass the Big Beautiful Bill. I really do. They need to pass it NOW in plenty of time for the midterm elections. They shouldn't wait, nor change much of the bill. Just pass it................. please!

I think the notion of one huge bill was a mistaken idea. I think that Johnson thought he could push it through quickly and nobody would ever be able to understand it. It seems that strategy may not work well. The Senate Parliamentary has cut a fair amount, the Senators themselves are balking at parts and now public opinion is turning against it. It will pass but it won't be as big, or as beautiful or popular.

For whom?

These congressional scumbags luv these giant bills because they can stuff in all kinds of shit that would never pass in its own, and it lets them avoid accountability.
