Hi, I am thinking of taking a trip for a weekend with my girlfriend to Vermont at the end of August. Probably around Burlington and/or Montpellier.

Does anyone have any suggestions for places to see or do? I am more of a museum/history kind of person but easy hikes or water activities would be great too.

Also if there are any American exclusive stores we should shop at those are welcome too.

Fort Ticonderoga is very interesting and important historically. There is a bike/walking trail around Mallets Bay that has a short ferry to make it a loop. Water views in all directions.
