If you voted you voted straight ticket democrat and you will again. Bend it like Beckham, twist it like your sister...its all the same hypocrisy and bull****. Supporters of OWS vote democrat. Did before...will again. And we both know it...everyone does. Kinda puts that whole indignation about political influence in perspective. You have no idea who I voted for (or you'd know I didn't vote at all lol). This is why you are impossible to debate with - you are filled with argumentative fallacies and preconceived notions.

The Tea Party ousted establishment republicans. How many times do we hear Obama and democrats bemoaning the change in congress caused by the Tea Party? Make up your mind for Gods sake. Then how is it different from the ****ing Tea Party?
Why should you bitch about one and not the other?
Not exactly. TEA party people ran in GOP primaries because they understood what splitting the conservative vote would do. There were and are plenty of old time Republicans who just wish the TEA party went away.
I have voted a straight ticket before, but I was young (it was in '04 so I was only 21). I have never done it since and I won't do it either.
You should work on your ESP skills or buy some new tarot cards.
I predict my guess is spot on. I predict the majority of people on this site that back OWS voted for democrats and will again. Its kinda funny to see you protesting. I can understand it...I'd be embarrassed if I was protesting the bribers and electing the bribe takers too.I have voted a straight ticket before, but I was young (it was in '04 so I was only 21). Its not too hard to see who. See Liberal/Very Liberal under your name. Observe positions on issues.Such as who?

We'll see next year, wont we. When all of you have voted a third party candidate I will well and truly be shocked, amazed and humbled. You will excuse of course that I dont hold my breath.
I'd vote for Hillary. Id vote to change the constitution and bring back Bill. I vote third party and independents. I guarantee you I couldnt bring myself to vote for someone that was taking bribes when I spent so much effort pretending to give a **** about it.Do you always vote for 3rd party candidates?

Like I said...the whole "we hate bribes and political influence" argument is bull****-you love them, vote for them and will do it again. If you had just admitted it we would have been done two hours ago. They ousted them for people even worse - people willing to hold our nation's integrity hostage to get their way.
Anti-masturbation witches, Bachmann, people like Fincher who want to end government for everyone except himself (again, the guy who gets $250,000 a year in farm subsidies).
There is nothing legitimate that the Tea Party did in its transition from angry movement into government other than **** things up.
Worst idea in the post-WW2 era.
Not saying OWS is going to be better, it will likely be a left-leaning version of the same thing. But I live in Tennessee, for God's sake. I see what the worst of this movement has wrought. People like Blackburn, Desjarlais, and Fincher: people who throw minorities under the bus, take from government freely while bitching about government spending, and abuse their wives and threaten police and can't pay their own bills.
This isn't better. And I'm sick of people thinking that it is. Yeh. Our politicians are bought off, but how is electing derelict, racist, mentally unbalanced people an improvement over people like Dick Lugar or Bob Bennett? How is electing someone like Rand Paul who bitches about the "elite" from a country club an actual improvement?
It's all bull****. We just root for the people whose bull**** we think might make the nation a little better. I've seen nothing in the past two years that says the current Republican trends are going to make this country better.
Like I said...the whole "we hate bribes and political influence" argument is bull****-you love them, vote for them and will do it again. If you had just admitted it we would have been done two hours ago.

Find one, write one in, or be a hypocrite. Your world. As long as people continue to 'settle' in resignation, the two party system thrives.Bull****, I've said (and you can do the search) that I'd vote for a solid third party that was centrist in nature if such a thing could exist in a HEARTBEAT. I'm so ****ing sick and tired of the corrupt two party system that I want to bust heads; but I won't do it while the Tea Party runs the right - especially now that we know that the Tea Party is largely just a re-branding of the religious right wing of the Republican Party. That's the one group I will vote to negate and I don't care who I vote for - as long as it negates the votes of those who want to suppress individual freedoms.
Honestly, it sounds like there might even be candidates you and I could agree upon were it possible in the current system; but sadly, the two party system appears to be pushing us further apart.
If you can find someone to vote for that we can agree upon, I'd do it. If Hillary ran as an independent, I'd do it. IN A SECOND. But that's not going to happen. So now what?
Selective memory? The protesters were peaceful. What they got in return was unmitigated violence from law enforcement officers. Not a good analogy at all. The civil rights movement was truly a peaceful movement. This one is not.

That still does not explain your ability to focus the blame on one party and one group.
No one is disputing that some democrats made mistakes and some people took out loans they couldn't afford.
Why is that the only thing you care about?
(And why are we talking about it on this thread?)
Lundberg v. County of Humboldt (2005): Pepper spraying non violent protesters violates the 4th.

The next time you want peace and quiet get the K9 patrol to sic the German Shepherds on you while the beat cops spray you with fire hoses. My God man, take a look at what you said and what I said....
Me: The civil rights movement was a peaceful movement.
You: The protesters were peaceful.
So we agree.

Other than that, we do agree.
