The Pentagon’s inspector general has received evidence that the military plans shared from Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s Signal account to a group chat earlier this year were taken from a US Central Command document that was marked classified at the time, according to two people familiar with the ongoing review.

The document can be marked 'Secret/NOFORN' but that don't mean every paragraph in the document has this classification. Matter of fact paragraphs can be left unmarked indicating they that they're unclassified.

Hegseth The Horrible is home alone at the Pentagon. For a while now. Just the other day another drinking chum Heggie put onto his senior staff went over the hill. Gen. Caine and the Joint Chiefs are keeping the military's wheels from flying off and into the Potomac.

I among many others LOAO reading this from the Duffle Blog @duffleblog.com which for years has included military veterans writing some wicked military humor. This that the troop came up with back when is a winner for sure....

General Mattis Crosses Potomac With 100,000 Troops; President, Senate Flee City

WASHINGTON — In an unprecedented turn in American history, retired Marine Gen. James Mattis, several years after being dismissed by the President and exiled to his estate in the countryside, marched on the national capitol early Tuesday morning with an army over one hundred thousand strong. This number includes at least ten infantry legions, several aviation and artillery legions, and multiple cavalry cohorts. These included the 101st Airborne, 82nd Airborne, 10th Mountain Infantry, and 3rd Infantry Divisions, in addition to the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force.

“I come in peace, by myself, in order to hand-deliver a Memorandum of Concern to the Commander in Chief and the Senate,” said Mattis in a press conference. “I am moving on foot at a leisurely pace, with no ill will. If these American citizens choose to take a stroll with me, then who am I to turn down their companionship?” The contents of the so-called memorandum are unknown, but are rumored by Mattis’ close advisors to contain paragraphs addressing unconstitutional acts by the administration and the Senate. Alarmed by the amassing of troops sympathetic to Mattis over the last week at Fort Myer, the Senate, the President attempted to recall various combat divisions to Washington to defend the city. “We even attempted to contact NAVSURFLANT and SUBLANT,” confided one Senate aide as he packed his Tesla to flee westward. “All we got was laughter and then static.” The summoned units all either ignored their movement orders, or by the next morning had joined forces with Mattis’ ad-hoc command. Mattis crossed the Potomac on landing craft, escorted by an honor guard from MARSOC [Marines Special Operations Command]. The cabinet and most members of the Senate fled west toward West Virginia in cars, vans and whatever other vehicles they could commandeer. The President has not been seen since early yesterday morning, but sources inside the State Department confirm that he is on a "scheduled goodwill trip" to Saudi Arabia which was kept from the press for safety reasons. His travel schedule has not been released to pool reporters.

The long trusted and proven American institution of anonymous sources are killing 'em this time. In reading MAGA posts they know this. There's nothing MAGAs or Trumph can do to stop the Greek chorus of anonymous sources that historically have been at the center of exposing and stopping corrupt government and corrupt politicians and their corrupt pals.

All journalists use unnamed sources. Grow up. Don't you know how it works? Most government and corporate insiders won't talk to the press without a guarantee of anonymity for fear of reprisals, like losing their jobs. In fact, even FOX "News", the network fined 3/4 of a billion dollar$ for lying to their listeners while pretending to be journalists, have always been notorious for simply using the phrase "people are saying" in the middle of their interviews and talking head segments, without ever saying which people they're referring to.

This is not. All paragraphs should be marked, and unclassified paragraphs must be marked with a (U). Any accidentally unmarked paragraphs would have to be treated as the highest classification of the document.
