We have been wondering for four years why Trump has been so easy on Putin during that time. Many have suggested that Putin's version of the KGB has "something on Trump" like some pee tapes or other very damaging information that could take him down politically if it was released. Turns out that's simply not the situation. I am reading Michael Cohen's book (quite good) and he confirms that what Trump wants more than anything in the world is his Trump Hotel in Moscow. That is probably why he would not allow anyone other than the translators in the room with him and Putin the first time he met him face-to-face. He no doubt wanted to know if Putin was on board with his Moscow hotel after he left the presidency. And Putin no doubt agreed, knowing that he would then have total control over Trump until he left office. Trump's huge Cheshire cat grin the next time he saw Putin in France pretty well confirmed their little secret and pleased him to no end.
And what a deal it was. Michael Cohen was still working on it while Trump was campaigning and denying that he had anything at all to do with the Russians. The hotel was to be paid for by Russian oligarchs with "loans" that would never have to be repaid, with Trump the getting most of the profits. Sweet! Trump also wants more than anything to be a part of the Russian oligarch social scene, to have them as his good buddies so that they will continue to pour money into his properties all around the world since the banks won't provide any more financing to him since he has stiffed so many of them. Trump clearly already sees himself as an oligarch, but one that is bothered to no end by actual regulations and laws. He would love to get into the business scene in Russia where such items are simply overruled by Putin as need be.
Yes, it's the Trump Moscow Hotel and not any pee tapes that Putin holds over his head.
And, yes, we already know what a scumbag Trump is, but the Michael Cohen book is still a good read and very interesting with insight into the events that shaped the Trump we know over the past decade or so.

For the umpteenth time, the Steele Dossier was *raw* intelligence, Steele said much of it was likely not true, he placed the odds on the 'pee tape' being true at 50%. Some people want to say 'no pee tape has been found to all the Steele info is lies!' And that is the lie. Much of it has been confirmed true. Some of it is false. That's how raw intelligence is. I agree with you it appears the Putin leverage appears to be about money - no shock.

It's not even "raw intelligence". According to Steele's source, it was all just barroom banter. There is NOTHING real in the Steele Dossier.

This sounds very realistic, to be honest.

I hate to buy hardcover first editions unless I get a dedication, but I may make an exception for this tome.

Do authors dedicate a lot of their books to you, just to get you to buy it?:) (I think you meant autograph, not dedication)

Trump's God is $$$$$.

And he's broke.

Uh, Hillary hooked up with a known Russian spy to manufacture all this bullsh*t to try and derail Trump. I guess some people are out of the loop. This was known to and approved by Jug Ears himself and his lapdog Comey.

Trump lied to the american people when he said he had nothing going on in russia. How did manafort become an important cog in trump's campaign team? Roger stone recommended him to trump, after all manafort was the man with the russian connections that trump didn't have.Trump had no idea of who manafort was until stone told him about his connections. Roger was the middle man between wikileaks and trump. It's all so convenient.

Not one of them works for the government anymore, trump on the other hand does and wants to continue to do so. He is a security risk and needs to be removed.

It is Obama, Clinton and their cohorts who have subverted the system and engaged in the biggest political crime in our history. All Trump has done is fought to survive and done a damn good job as POTUS at the same time. The ONLY collusion with Russia was done by Democrats. They need to be held accountable.

Nobody believes what you wrote. Not even yourself.

You should. It's very timely. Good read. I got it on Kindle.

Yeah, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I forgot about since it came out.

You've been watching way too much Hannity.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: If it were only pee tapes that Putin had on donald, we would have seen those tapes years ago.

How did trump get his hands on all those dirty Russian loans? I have been wondering this. I figured that he couldn't get a loan from American banks after his Atlantic City casinos kept collapsing. His attempt to get his brand name on a Moscow hotel may be the missing link.

It is the missing link. After reading Michael Cohen's description of the talks he had with the Russians, it becomes apparent that it is Trump's number one goal after he leaves office. Such a sweet deal-the Russian oligarchs pay for it and Trunp gets most of the profit.

Except, we'll see how much Putin needs trump when he's out of office.
