This lays the groundwork for other charges to follow- Time sensitive ones are on the platter in this batch, but they will only dig deeper on him & Gates
From what I heard on CNN Mantafort purchased properties with limited liability companies and transferred wealth to his family member(s).
Now if this was ML, and if the family member(s) were complicit, I think they can also be charged. That would ramp up the pressure on Mantafort to flip

Mueller IMHO found things that were coming close to the statute of limitations on money laundering, which is generally 5 years.
I think tax evasion will also be included
So far nothing on Flynn, and I think he flipped months ago.

The Trump people will be spinning this to say that Manafort is being arrested for things he did apart from the campaign. But this is no victory for them - just the opposite.

There is a song in the wonderful musical HAMILTON where Aaron Burr expresses his displeasure that he is on the outside looking in - shut out from real the influence that his rival Hamilton has. He sings that "I want to be in the room where it happens" - just like Hamilton is.

Manafort was in the room where it happened. Over and over and over again. And that is what should scare the Trump people into soiling their Depends today.

Manafort will be squeezed and Trump cannot protect him from state laws and prison even if he would dare pardon him for federal crimes. The only question now is will Manafort talk and will he give up Trump?

We can all hope.

Since Manafort was the campaign chair I'm sure whatever they have on him they'll be able to use that information to get him to flip for a deal. I doubt he knows everything, as my bet would be that the Trumps keep all the real dirt in the family, but he should have enough knowledge to make something stick on one of them at least, assuming there were crimes committed.

dunno about hannity or "Trump water boys", but historically when a long investigation happens and they have nothing, they need to save face and charge somebody with something. "tax evasion" and other money crimes that have nothing to do with russia will be the end of all of this much to the alt-lefts sad pandaness.

I think the list of things we want from Trump exceeds the character limit.

My fingers are not crossed that Trump will do the right thing, my fingers are crossed that the rest of the Republican party stop smelling their ass and saying "smells great!".

Investigation is not that “long” considering we have not had a full year of this Administration. Trump can claim another first! Earliest indictment in history!
