Most overrated QB of all time. His Superbowl numbers are crud. He just doesn't look as good as elite QBs in the past such as Tom Brady and Payton Manning. Stop this goat nonsense. He ain't good. He doesn't pass the eye test.
 
Patrick Mahomes is not a good quarterback; he's a great quarterback. I don't think he's as great as Tom Brady yet, but he's still a generational talent. You just hate to see young Black men succeed.
 
At this moment I can't think of another quarterback that is better. A few might be aspiring to be equal but none are a better clutch qb than him.

Mahomes is a VERY GOOD quarterback...who also happens to play for a great coach in a great system. But he is a VERY GOOD quarterback...probably the best in the game today.

He was awful last year. Only reason the Cheats made it that far was because of their defense and the refs. Then in the Superbowl he got sacked repeatedly and couldn't carry the offense past midfield.

Were some questionable calls, but that's about any NFL game.

Sounds like an O-line problem. I mean, once the defense blows through that...

How often has he avoided a sure sack only to run himself and pick up a first down? Seemed to happen about every damn game I caught.
 
Mahomes is very good, but there are massive differences between him and Brady.

When Mahomes has great receivers, he tends to shine.
Brady made rcvrs great.
Obviously Gronk is one of the greats...but Gronk and Kelce cancel each other out. Randy Moss was in the last year of his career, but he and Hill cancel each other out.
Then you have a list of 'names'. Probably unlikely any of them will make the HoF but if they do it will be because they had Brady under center. Brady won with them and made them great.
 
When a quarterback has :13 left on the game clock, 3 timeouts, and takes his team from his own 20-yard-line into a 48-yard field goal attempt with :03 left, in a playoff game against the Buffalo Bills, it’s incredible to claim that quarterback is not good.

Never mind the fact that he’s been in 5 of the last 6 Super Bowls. Let that sink in for a minute…

2018 - Lost AFC Championship in OT (to eventual SB Champion Tom Brady and the NE Patriots).
2019 - Won the SB
2020 - Won AFC Championship, lost SB
2021 - Lost AFC Championship
2022 - Won SB
2023 - Won SB
2024 - Won AFC Championship, lost SB

In 7 years of play, Mahomes' teams has been one of the last four teams standing. Since the AFL-NFL merger in the late 1960s, I don't think that's ever been done - not even by Tom Brady or Joe Montana or any of the other great QBs over the last 50-60 years.

How many SB does he have? Oh yeah, none.


The question of how good a QB is tends to lean heavily on SB wins. That may not be fair, but it is what it is. Until someone can win more than Brady, he's going to considered the GOAT.
