Where to post this? In political discussion or here in entertainment? I will try here and hope it stays civil.

I recently posted a thread knocking country music (and in doing so, was really just being cheeky and not intending to offend anyone)

At the same time, I got curious, do YOUR musical tastes depend on your politics?

Example: Do songs that sound wokish to you offend you? Or are you able to take them at face value? Even Elvis got into it with his song In The Ghetto. So songs promoting social conscience or songs about social injustice, do YOU avoid them?

Do you also avoid artists that because of their politics? Taylor Swift, the Chicks (who used to be the Dixie Chicks)

Example: I happen to like a lot of Ted Nugent music but dislike the person and his politics. But give me some good ole Cat Scratch Fever or Wango Tango and I will be dancing.

So the question remains, do you avoid songs or artists because of politics or are you ok with taking a song for what it is worth and enjoying it?

More examples:

A song I imagine conservatives wouldn't like but I consider awesome...........

But I also enjoyed the rebuttal...............

Now remember folks, I posted this in entertainment, so don't come at me too hard.

Well Snow, I've noted over time that those of one particular ideological preference seem to dislike country music. So I thought I'd add this Jerry Jeff song to the mix:

Then there's this punk classic by The Tubes. Is it prog or anti-prog? Or is it actually whatever you perceive it to be?
