Speaking from my own experience I remember always having a favorable opinion of the pardon power. Through the years I always took an interest who our Presidents pardoned and generally found myself in agreement. They mostly seemed well deserved, often with compelling reasons for their pardons. That is until Bill Clinton pardoned an arguably sleazy guy named Marc Rich who made a huge donation to the Clinton library prior to the pardon. This was the 1st time in my memory this kind of criminal was pardoned. After Marc Rich I looked into pardon history and couldn't find any prior examples of similar pardons EVER before. It's only gone downhill since, reaching an all time low with Biden first pardoning his son for any crime he may or may not have committed in the last 11 years and now the latest batch of pay for pardons for several truly horrible people. If you would have asked me 30 years ago if a president would ever use pardons like Biden has I would have said no way there would complete condemnation by the entire media and the overwhelming majority of the public, the Presidents legacy would be destroyed, it just wouldn't be done. How things have changed so dramatically in 30 years.

Have we seen the worst? Have we turned a corner? Will we elect more people like Biden or worst in the future? Or are we in a common sense revolution with completely different rules for future political success? It kind of feels like it to me. I'm feeling optimistic that concerns we face today about abuse of power, election integrity, lawfare, and 3rd world like political corruption may be left for the historians to argue about. I am starting to think we are witnessing the roaring twenties leading to the golden age of the 21st century. Does anyone agree?

Disagree, we are on an express train to the bottom. I hope future generations are able to make a better world after we burn it down…..

Biden has shown his true self. He told us no pardon for Hunter, all of us on the right felt it was a lie, it was. Biden always intended to save Hunter. Biden always knew he had to do it. Hunter isn't to be trusted with the family secrets that he may be able to sell to keep himself out of a penitentiary. Hunter's a scum bag and now daddy has proven he is as well. Biden's history of racism, racist friends and mentors, his lying and plagiarism, he terrible decisions have always pointed to who he is.
Joe was never the man who should have been President but it's over now and instead of trying to convince us he's a man of character who loves his country, he has done exactly the opposite.

Ironic post displays hypocrisy…..

LOL. Really? Did I miss something. Biden said he would respect the decision of the courts and no pardon for Hunter. He lied. Why? He had to. Hunter knows the truth and I don't think Hunter is going to prison for his daddy.

Yeah, you did miss something...

He made the point that what you are upset about Biden over, lying and not keeping to one's word, is something that Trump does daily but you never make it a point to call Trump out on it like you do Biden.

People elected Trump, so they must not care in the least about these items. You haven’t seen nothin’ yet. Trump will take us to new lows in all of this, and quite quickly, too, and thumb his nose at the Constitution and the citizenry while he does so. Prepare to be ashamed.

Were you asleep when Trump was handing out pardons to all his criminal buddies during his first term??

Did you read what I wrote 'it's only gone downhill since'

Yup. People have forgotten why we have the institutions and rules we developed after earlier societal mistakes and I guess they want to make the same mistakes again.

I don't know what you read. I didn't mention that Biden had lied about whether he would or wouldn't pardon his son. I wasn't surprised except for the 11 years for anything he might have done.

I am sure maga will be bitching about it at least as long as they bitched about Hillary’s emails.

I hope you're wrong I'm hoping we've seen the bottom. Time will tell

I agree with everything you said right up until you suggest that I was trying to convince or suggest that Biden is a man of character, quite the opposite.

So it was just another pathetic whataboutism. Thanks for clearing that up

I'm getting prepared but not to be ashamed rather I am preparing to get sick of winning. lol Trump will bring us back from the brink. I should correct that, Trump's team will bring us back from the brink. We were so close to being a totalitarian government without free speech, property rights, gun rights, and the dismantling of the Supreme Court, the electoral system, etc.

It's gonna be EPIC, Then Vance for 8 yrs, Don Jr. for 8, then probably Laura Trump for 8 you're gonna love it

US society voluntarily decided to scrape even deeper about a month ago.
You apparently didn't get the news. Kamala lost and Trump won, everything will be fine now. I'm serious though everything really will be ok, we are on the right path now.

Right, trump winning is the basis of my assessment that American society isn’t finished ting down.

Just curious, what is a policy you would like to see implemented that a Trump supporter would not support?

Single payer health care.

You've been watching FOX way too much. You have entered the right-wing Twilight Zone.
