Palestinian leader calls US ambassador to Israel 'son of a dog'

Mahmoud Abbas

As is probably painfully obvious by now, the Palestine leadership no longer considers the US as a neutral peace broker between Israel and Palestine. That ship sailed when Trump announced the US would relocate its Tel Aviv embassy to Jerusalem. The scathing remarks by Mahmoud Abbas no doubt serve to underscore the current frustrations of the Palestinian leadership.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure it never did and rightfully so, but the situation and Palestinian skepticism towards US moderation has obviously and considerably worsened under Trump.

Panic in Palestine because the US no longer coddles them?!?

That’s not “scathing”, that’s just petulant name calling.

My favourite is that clowns like him and Erdogan engage in this sort of insulting name calling all the time but are the first to chide others for "undiplomatic language".

I'm glad that's not some sort of drinking game, I'd be dead in a ditch somewhere...
