Our President is actually bragging that Americans must pay more to the government

LOL Coffee is not grown in the US

View attachment 67584482
Coffee is grown in Hawaii, Puerto Rico and, in a small volume, in California. All three are in the US for trade purposes.

I just love people that make stupid mistakes and brag about it. They're easy to prove wrong.

Actually, that says nothing since Americans aren't paying at all...at least, not all Americans. Only the ones who decide to buy the high priced shit.
So, you are not going to buy anything anymore. good luck.

The importers pay the tariff to Customs and Border Protection, who puts the money into the Federal Treasury. If the importer decides to pass the cost on to the consumer, the consumer of the imported goods pays the cost to the retailer. Consumers who choose not to buy the imported product don't pay the tariff.
i bet you have no idea where anything you buy comes from.

Not enough and the coffee is crazy expensive. You think you won something?

Perhaps.

Perhaps, with increased sales and production US manufacturers will end up reducing their prices.

Regardless, it's better for the US. It's America first.
US manufacturers will charge more because labor is far more expensive here.

You said coffee isn't grown in the U.S. You were wrong.
I never said that.
Your childish response leaves out the fact that there is not enough coffee production to meet demand. Have you priced Kona coffee lately? Enjoy your your $60 per pound beans.

My apology. It was another poster who said that coffee isn't grown in the U.S. and included a snarky image that provoked my less than kind response.

My response makes no claim as to the amount of coffee grown in this country. As I don't drink coffee, I am not terribly interested in the amount grown in this country or it's price.
