This is three states directly defying crazy ass RFK Jr and his goal of stopping vaccines (because he's dumb as a ****ing rock).

So, BECAUSE OF DEMOCRATS and sane people MAGAs in those states will die less than MAGAs in states like Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi (etc).

"The democratic governors of Oregon, Washington and California are forming a new public health partnership aimed at preserving access to vaccines.

The partnership, called the Western Health Alliance, will develop its own immunization guidelines “informed by respected national medical organizations,” according to a press release Wednesday from Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek, Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson and California Gov. Gavin Newsom."

Seems the states are starting to get the idea that resistance to the king is the only way to go.

I would like to see more of this, states collaborating on public health and even health insurance.

Northeastern states consider regional approach to vaccine guidance after CDC changes

With the Trump administration making changes to its guidance on vaccines nationwide, the direction in New England is uncertain.

The region is taking steps toward independence from the federal government on vaccine policy months after several changes under U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Health officials from Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania met this week to consider coordinating their own vaccine recommendations, separate from the federal government.

Maybe it'll end up being the South and the Midwest who won't have access to vaccines.

Nice. Too bad they have to do this.

The federal government has gone insane.

Anybody who wants the shot can get it. This is really all about who is going to pay for it. In the past the vaccines were mandated and the government + insurance companies paid for it. Essentially all of us paid for it. Without government mandate/recommendations costs will increase for those who want the shot and it'll decrease for those who do not want the shot. It no surprise that socialist west coast state will institute their own version of socialized medicine.

The west, the northeast, the best parts of the USA are baby-steps distancing themselves from the rest.

We are all socialists in one way or the other. Using it as a sort of negative slur to characterize a particular US region is absurd.

Just wanna quote myself and add:

Based on what Florida is doing today, and other maga states will no doubt follow, does it *not* seem as though the country is slowly headed towards a fight over the union?

How would the fight manifest?

How would the fight manifest?
Initially it will look like this, only more intense. States starting to form coalitions on issues the fed government previously supported now that we have an autocrat in the White House. From there, it's a question of midterms initially. If Trump uses NG in blue cities to **** with the vote...hahhahaaha I have no idea what would happen. If we had a civil war, it wouldn't look like the first one. Armies aren't going to stand opposed to each other in open fields.

What??

I agree, I'd like to see more states collaborating on cutting the funding for health care and school lunches for children and many other MAWA policies, including tariffs, environmental and safety regulations and the occupation of blue state cities...

Do you not agree that more states should collaborate on public health, health insurance and the other policies I cited? Or do you not understand the statements?
