A Muslim pope? :lamo:lamo
This wins even amongst the stupid posts I have read all night
Oh and there is no Islamic leadership.
Bull-****ing-**** lady, there is the Ulama who form Ijma concerning Islamic Fiqh. Don't bull**** a bull****ter.
To go against the Ijma is to run the risk of being labeled a heretic or Takfir and being tried for apostasy.
I honestly can't believe people are having this conversation... No one has answered my question either. Have you ever met a Muslim that believed you should die/threatened to kill you? Have you even personally met one that tried to convert you to the Islamic faith? What certain Islamic nations do does not stereotype all Muslims. From my experience they have been some of the most delightful and respectful people I have had in my life. None of them have minded me being a Christian. They even attend my Christian affiliated university and go to required Christian chapel services. They don't burn Bibles or threaten to kill us. Some of them chose to wear a hijab but they don't impose their views on all women either (my lab partner wore a hijab). The views and actions of a few extremist Muslims does not reflect on the whole. Are all Catholics child molesters because priests have molested kids? Are all protestants secretly gay because a few leaders have turned out to be homosexuals? Does this mean Christians as a whole are all homosexual pedophiles? It's foolish to stereotype and discriminate against an entire religious group based on the actions of a few.
You can be a liberal Muslim but you can not be a liberal Muslim and still belong to any of the main Islamic sects. Sufi's are cool in my book. Suni and Shia not so much.
Rightttt
Heretic ...
There is no speaker for Muslims.
Accept that fact and move on.
Be careful, you're gonna be tried for apostasy by...
who, again, Agent Ferris?

You do actually have to be careful if you are a public Muslim figure; such as, Salmon Rushdie.
Nope the Ulama is a figment of my imagination. Ijma is a word I just made up right now on this website (patent pending). And there is no such thing as the Shafi'i, Hanafi, Maliki, Hanbali, and Ja'fari schools of Islamic fiqh. Oh and fiqh is another word that I just made up too (all rights reserved).
There is no hierarchy or authority that speak on behalf of Muslims.
But there is no speaker for Muslims.
As I said, to find our representative you will have to wait till Jesus returns ... if you are still alive by then ofc
Who is the speaker for Christians, all christians.
What singular source of law sets the rules for all christians or at least those who are good practising christians
He isn't Muslim.
Next
Next question.
I never denied it existed.

Like in Islam there are many schools of Christian thought each with their own hierarchal leadership structures and differing dogma, however, there is some things all of the major Christian sects agree on; such as, the divinity of Jesus and that Jesus "suffered on the cross, died and was buried, rose again on the third day in fullfillment of the scriptures and will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end," likewise there is a consensus opinion among all five major sects of Islamic dogma that apostasy, adultery, and homosexuality are capital offenses.
What you think is "cool" means jack **** to Muslims.
Your opinion means little when it comes to Islam as you do not even follow the religion
Quite a few Muslims support the reestablishment of a singular Caliph actually.
Furthermore; what would you call the Ulama if not a religous hierarchy which establishes consensus Islamic dogma?
Pfft. Bull****.
In Islam there is no "church-like" hierarchy.
When we pray it is directly to God and we only serve God and no one speaks on behalf of Allah or Islam.
Everyone is individually responsible for their own actions and their own beliefs and will be judged on that by God alone.
Hence why Allah is the sovereign and our shahada is how it is.
It doesn't have at the end "Oh and Priests and Pope can also make up rules on our behalf and speak for us"
According to who you? If he's not a Muslim what is he? An apostate?
A group of Muslim scholars giving their interpretation of the Qu'ran and texts.
