True, but I think more than a few people have noticed that our president isn’t exactly consistent on a whole host of issues.

IMO, ANY un-Constitutional infringement on the American people’s right to free speech is a mortal threat to individual liberty, and ANY government that does this (Left or Right) should be fought, if not destroyed.

Trump is the poster child for hateful, divisive speech. While that may be his" right" it is not right for a President to speak that way. All Americans should denounce how he speaks even if he has the "right" to.

MAGA has caused their own problems from the get go

The rhetoric is not just from one side and I think we can all agree to this, but the question is what are we going to do about it? Look at this forum, it's thread after thread of those on the left using rhetoric, post after post, the labeling and accusations as if it's normal behavior.

Posters beginning several threads per day in hopes of being the one with the most asinine hate filled thoughts than anybody on the forum.....a badge of honor to them, lol. Can this be given attention and other members begin to tone it down?

Can those on the right begin to ignore more idiocy by simply passing on commenting and let it die a lonely death? Unfortunately, the answer is a 'big hell no', for look what has transpired since Kirk's death.

Stating you are against political violence, but then constantly complaining and blaming opponents is not a solution....it is the 'problem', for all of us. I think it's going to take leaders who can rise above the habitual ritual from both sides of "tit for tat" which never ends. I am looking for these types of leaders.....

I have voted for Trump all three times he ran, but his time is up in 3 years and it's not in his personality to be one of these kind of leaders for our future. His time and purpose has come and will always be grateful for bringing to light the corruption in our political arena. The violence is getting out of hand and we need to be looking for leaders who can rise above it and bring us to a more peaceful, compromising, agreeing time to benefit our nations future.

Yeah, but the application of the standard will be one-sided. That's the point of MAGA.

Trump needn't worry. He is above the law. Laws are for 'little people.' Laws do not apply to Trump because he's rich and powerful.

From the op-ed:

The point is not that Trump is a hypocrite, although he clearly is. The point is that the freedom of speech he claims to value cannot protect him unless it also protects people he despises.

Trump is absolutely blind not only to his hypocrisy on this topic, but blind to the unique responsibility he holds as the president to rise above his tweet and reality TV antics and be a leader for an entire nation, not just himself and those he determines to be properly loyal.

And no amount of whataboutism detracts from that.

Seems THIS has become the new theme, dating several months back.
DP is unfair. Too many leftists. And ONLY the use rhetoric, labeling and accusations.
Yeah yeah, on and on and on we go.
There have even whole threads posted about how unfair the leftist leaning on DP is. I even posted one myself as a poll.

So, here is what I would say, look at this forum, thread after thread of those on the right moaning and groaning and weeping like little children as if it's normal behavior.

We could ask our leader to stop doing it.

What left politucal leader does this?

Well, never mind, it's not for everyone.

The corruption Trump brought to the White House has been unprecedented in American history.

The level of hateful rhetoric, fear, blatant vicious lies, misinformation, and division he has brought to this country has been unprecedented in American history.

The damage he has inflicted on this country, both domestically and internationally, will take at least a generation to repair- if at all.

Trump was targeted by the left since day one.....you might want to refresh the screen to reality.

Like anyone else, some times you don't agree, but the positives out way the negatives.
Do you think his blaming the left for the shooting rather than just the individual is a reasonable way for a POTUS to handle this?

Do you think the left blaming Trump for everything all day 24/7 for 10 years was the way to handle him?

Serious. How do you view DJT's rhetoric?

It doesn't justify murder by assassination.....it doesn't justify the vile rhetoric coming from your side. Can't you see the actions taken by the left are so far left of being "democratic"? They were making fun of Trump running prior to his victory, caught by surprise they have been in a downward spiral ever since. Where is the liberal heart.....wtf happened to them?.....have you all driven them all away?

I've always said, as times Trump needs to learn to keep his mouth shut. I can't help it, that's who he is.....why not accept it and not make such a big deal? Does it hurt your feelings or something? I hear many from the left say much harsher words, but I am not going to become obsessed with their speak, just ignore it and move on.

I've never been able to understand this intense hatred of Trump.....it's weird as hell to me. Will you ever be able to get over Trump or will he live in your head till you die? Will we be forced to listen to the left go on and on and on about Trump ten or twenty years from now?......good Lord, I hope not.

Well, when your side has Mad Maxine and Chucky Schumer calling for violence to SCOTUS judges and then a potential assassin is stopped outside the judge’s house…

Disagree, strongly.

Democracy is over because lies were told as truths and idiots believed them.
