Trump is owning the Democrats on crime.

Facts don't matter.

Voters are not well informed.

Democrats need to jump the shark and go bigger on fighting crime. Call Trump on under-funding police. Call for more police.

It's good to oppose using the NG as long as it is coupled with more funding and guidelines for police.

What happens after the National Guard leaves after performing its duties to reduce crime?

What is being done to improve the local law enforcement capability to keep crime down?

Without some changes at the local level will crime just go back up when the NG leave the city they are patrolling or does President Trump want to federalize all law enforcement activities?

Yeah, I know Cohn was a scumbag.
Just because you quote somebody doesn’t mean you like or agree with their views. A lot of people have quoted historical figures like Hitler, Lenin, or Mao, but that doesn’t mean they’re Nazis or Communists. And that Cohn quote perfectly captures why Trump has, for all his problems, been able to run circles around Democrats and drive them crazy. It also helps explain why Dems are so unpopular right now.
