Depends on the day 🤷‍♀️

I’m in the phase of life where I’ve got a young kiddo AND elderly parents that I care for.

That job doesn’t change just because of the weather.

On rainy or gloomy days when we are home and kiddo is home - we often play board games, read, do crafts, play a game online, work on one of his 3D print projects, watch movies, etc if possible and we don’t have other things to attend to.

In Arizona on the very rare occasion of a rainy day we go outside lay down and make mud angels.

To be honest, I used to love riding my motorcycle in the desert in the rain. I love the way the desert smells when it rains. We’ve been in a drought so long the opportunity is rare.

You mean you play bored games ;)

today i slept in; the last dream i remember was trying to convince the world not to destroy itself. i was working for the United Nations of all places, realizing that i was failing the other Monarchs and Oligarchs running the world that we don't need WW three at all. it seems rather dangerous, but they would have none of it, and i would get booted out of their country for advocating such crazy peaceful ideas.

after that dream, i am about ready to go back to sleep because it really wasn't a dream but just another reflection of reality as i read it on this forum that Celebrates the Dark Maga and B-61 Nukes lately.

America’s newest nuclear bomb built seven months early...The U.S. has fast-tracked production of its latest nuclear gravity bomb with the first unit completed seven months ahead of schedule. The B61-13 replaces some older B61-7 models and offers improved flexibility for targeting.

blessings all, i better go back to sleeep and find some Intelligent Life some place.

You spend gloomy days thinking about gloomy things like nukes???

actually no.

i never had a Dream like that.........ever until this morning.

usually i dream about stupid things or working at my old Graphic Arts job in the city getting things done on time, or trying to.

Snow, i forgot most of the dream because it was so weird working for the United Nations trying to bring about World Peace. and yeah it grieved me when i realized i was the only one who wanted World Peace; nobody else cared. they all wanted Dark Maga; the Orange was gonna fire me any way for not following his strict orders of agitating Canada demanding they surrender to him.

as you can see Snow, some days it is hard to turn off this Forum; i feel the only person listening to me.........is me.

kinda frightening. sorry Snow, i tried to Save Canada and may try again if i go back to sleep again. it will be the same thing though, the Orange Monarch gonna roll over me and the Canadian PM demanding my surrender: immediately.

i shouted back at him: Never, and flew back to Montreal or wherever yur capital is.

i can still hear the Orange running after me pleading/screaming: 'never say never'.

thanks Snow for yur question though, maybe instead of going back to sleep i should go write some nonsense on my Hobby Forum or go to church today?

it is Mother's Day right and i forgot why we celebrate that too, because it has no future to it. who needs Mothers when we have AI Bots and other technology to watch the kids.

bye.

...we can also Celebrate mother's day on a gloomy day. ............it doesn't even have to be Gloooomy to do that.

if it is gloomy where you live, then pick a few flowers and Brighten up yur day a little.

What if you don't consider any days to be "gloomy"? I don't. Certainly the weather is never anything I find to be gloomy.

Well, not as inviting as sunny days. The question still remains, when raining what do you do?

When it is cloudy and raining and damp, dismal weather, I tend to....................
Get a hot cup of tea, listen to sad, contemplative, introspective music, like these, think nostalgically about the past, while cuddling up with a favorite book...:

Cuddling with a book is indeed comforting, though I might prefer cuddling in another way ;)

Volunteer! Nothing makes a day brighter than to go and give back to those less fortunate.

hunting and fishing

I had a fantastic day Thursday with clouds, showers, NE wind ... bass were loving it, very few other people on the water. It was great. Wet, chilly , but great

X2

While in Arizona for months at a time, I used to enjoy riding the Harley a few days after a rain when the desert bloomed. That added a visual aspect to the wonderful scent that followed the rain.

I love a rainy day, if it's coming down in sheets, I'll enjoy watching it from inside my house. If it's just a drizzle, or an intermittent light rain, I'll go out on a leisurely walk with my dog and just enjoy the feel, sound and smell of the rain. Of course if I lived in a place like Peter in the UK, I may have a change of heart. ;)

Even if it's not raining, I really enjoy cloudy/overcast days. I like breaks from the bright sunshine. I don't consider any weather mentioned above as gloomy/dismal, or feel a need to do something out of the ordinary with my time. Summer is my least favorite season, I don't like the heat at all, so anything to cool things down is welcome. No way would I live in Texas, Florida, etc.
