Omarosa Manigault Newman, the former reality TV star who became a top White House aide to President Donald Trump, on Thursday released exclusively to MSNBC a secret tape of campaign official Lara Trump offering her a $15,000-a-month job after she was fired from the administration.

"And that all the money that we raise and that pays salaries is directly from donors, small-dollar donors for the most part. So, I know you, you were making 179 at the White House. And I think we can work something out where we keep you right along those lines," Trump continues. "Specifically, let me see, I haven't even added up the numbers. I don’t know if she did or not, but I think they have probable cause to examine the contents of the recordings. She apparently on multiple occasions had recording devices going in areas where classified information was processed and discussed. If she didn’t record any classified stuff then she just broke the rules, not the law. If she did record classified information, even by accident, and removed it from the White House she broke the law.

Bringing a forbidden recording device into a secured facility is probable cause to search the contents of the recording. I THINK she is smart enough to have not recorded classified information but we can’t take her word on that.

• Mark Burnett has not independently attested, one way or the other, about the existence of any such tapes and personnel from at least two outlets, People and Entertainment Weekly, have sought his input.
